Very true, but not my point. My point was tolerance, not constitutional law. And libs calim to be tolerant of other viewpoints. And spare me the, "we don't have to be tolerant of intolerance" line, when Islam, that which we are supposed to be tolerant of, treats women and gays so horribly.”

“going from your quote the payment is not spelled out. it could be paid in gold or any other payment the judge sees fit and the payment is made to the husband. my interpretation is that if a man causes injury to a woman resulting in a miscarriage he shall repay the woman's husband as a judge sees fit. this doesn't track with what you're saying. your quote doesn't, in anyway, suggest that it is a minor offense either.

the commandments are like the Constitution. everything else is an interpretation or extrapolation thereof. there is no way the authors of the bible or the participants of history could anticipate what unbridled abortion would lead to today. religious doctrine and dogma are as much living ideas as the Constitution and its laws are.

i am not catholic or any other religion. i am just disgusted by the irresponsibility that abortion has created. just today a co-worker told me about a fourth abortion he forced a girl to have and this is the fourth girl he's done it to and the third one this year alone. i am also disgusted by lae term abortions. there is absolutely no reason for a woman to hold on to a fetus for that long before deciding to abort.”
