“The Catholic church seems to be having too much to say about a lot of things lately, like immigration reform, health care on both immigrations and abortion issues and now this. I thought churches were supposed to stay OUT of state/federal issues. Isn't that what separation of chuch and state is all about? This other thing is health care reform, not an abortion bill. I think they should be taxed to the hilt if they think they have the right to get into politics.”

“There are too many Republicans now who really don't have the brains to govern; that's why it's always no these days. If you listen to Chambliss, Boehner and so many of the others (especially from the South) they really don't have any answers and talk around every issue and all say the same thing because it all comes from their talking points memo of the day. Didn't you notice that almost all Republicans used the words "that's troubling" when they talked about Sotomayer? I sure did.”

“On the Today show this morning, Matt Lauer had lovely (?) Laura Ingraham on and like a lot of them, only showed the first part of Obama's speech at Strasbourg where he says America isn't always right in everything (in so many words) and never put up the second part which stated that there was also anti-Americanism in Europe. A lot of the Fox News types are doing that like Hannity, but even NBC is doing it. I thought Tim Russert was back as I watched it.”
