“Rogue--- An unprincipled, deceitful, and unreliable person; a scoundrel or rascal.

She defined herself very well with the title of her book. Was she aware of how ironic this title is?”

“Your right... that is exactly how she is breaking away from main stream Republicans.”

“Rogue can also mean:

-Noun
a playfully mischievous person; scamp: e.g. The youngest boys are little rogues.

-Adjective
no longer obedient, belonging, or accepted and hence not controllable or answerable; deviating, renegade: e.g. a rogue cop; a rogue union local.

Which one do you think she meant ... your idea (or leaning) or the above?”

“Why doesn't the study ask women what makes them unhappy, then there would be no need to guess.

I think the things that lead women to unhappiness are the same things that would lead men to unhappiness under the same circumstances or mindset.

I for one am very happy and I am glad for that... considering the findings in this study..”

Obama Was Right About the Gates Arrest

Commented Jul 30, 2009 at 07:11:20 in Politics

“Regardless of whether or not it "scores points" it was not illegal and he should not have been arrested for it. That cop had a grudge, he was not simply doing is job. If he was he would have left Mr Gates' property and went out to catch some real criminals..He would not have arrested him on his front porch. I don't think the incident was racial, I just think cops in general have a very bad habit of abusing their authority. They lose the respect of more and more people each time they commit one of these acts.”

JimR replied on Jul 30, 2009 at 09:18:26

“The cop had a grudge going in to the situation? That is ridiculous. He was responding to a call of a possible burglary in progress. He made some reasonable requests and asked reasonable questions. In response, he received an ugly, abusive diatribe.”

“I thought I was telling the truth, too. You may disagree but I don't think a cop should be able to arrest me because he doesn't like my speech (as long as I am not yelling "fire" in a theater.) Do you wish to have the speech police to come and arrest everyone who offends them?”

JimR replied on Jul 29, 2009 at 18:11:05

“I don't think Gates was arrested because of WHAT he was saying, so much as HOW he was saying it. I think if he was "civilly disobedient," as it were, there would be no arrest. But acting like a raving lunatic is not going to score you any points with the cops.”
