“The conservative bent in this country has gotten to the point where selfishness is considered an American trait and expected of the "patriot" though they would never admit to it or label it as such. It's viewed as un-American to say, oh yes I'll pay some more taxes so that those less fortunate might have health care.”

What's the use in becoming a career politician if your legacy is filled with meaningless b.s. and hints of corruption? I'm just one guy and it probably won't amount to much, but from now on I'm backing the Green Party. They unequivocally support single payer and they don't accept corporate money in any form. I don't agree with their entire platform but on the major points the Green Party makes the most sense to me.”
