“Wow , I did not know that. If I wanted to post to facebook I would have done it, This has been a great place to post and I will be sorry to see it go. I will also be closing my HP account at that time :(”
I am trying to contact everyone who seems to have something significant to say or wants a HP experience. I can and getting them to contact me at

We are trying to figure out options and alternatives. The aim is to pool our wisdom and offer choices. There are some good ones out there like PlanetPOV, Daily Kos, HP Refugees, All-len-All, and Epoch.
I will be passing on info from our common wisdom.”
“Uhm ya he worked as a summer intern while pursuing his MBA . Obviously someone that could afford to go to college and not really work while doing it as interns are usually not paid . Worked his way up my foot! He had tons of help along the way and money to do it . A far cry from the kid from a family that is poor .”

“While pursuing his MBA.. unlike those he now supervises.
That's the difference.
“When the media becomes more concerned with our people and less concerned with obsessing over the Kardasions then perhaps we will get back to real news and reconnect with out military families and their news .
I am a military mom and daughter going back to the civil war, I dont go to graves on Memorial day, the memories live with me every day , every day is memorial day .
However the news of the day is still the Kardasions for most people today . Its a little pathetic.”

“In my Mom's family service in wars goes clear back to the French and Indian Wars and ended with Vietnam since none of the cousins or I were able to have kids. I don't do graves either, I prefer to help with the small celebration at our local VA Medical Center's Nursing Home and honor the dead by serving the living brothers and sisters.”
“Burr is a foolish little man to think he can attack our vets in such a disgusting way and walk away thinking himself a big shot Senator. What a fool. He earned this response from them and I am proud that they gave it .
Congress is the one that has cheated our vets of their care , chosen to cut their funds and provide no way for them to change the entrenched bureaucracy.
As a military mom and daughter , I hope the vets groups continue to speak out about his and congresses foolish and mean spirited actions.”

“Just because it is done other places does not make it right, and virtually all of the junk that they sell in those places is made out of this country, not to mention that a entry fee such as they are demanding is beyond many families means. So that means they will not be allowed to witness the museum to begin with.
What if it was the children or grandchildren or even close friends of those that died there and could not afford to go to it , ya thats our system. Pay or you dont go, even for a national graveyard
We are still the richest nation on earth!! Why cant we support our national sites?? They belong to all of us not just the ones that can afford the entry fee!! We are a amazingly rich nation but we would rather the few have the wealth rather then support something like this for all of us! It is a shame and embarrassment!”

“I suppose then that Arlington Cemetary should be self sustaining too, provided by cheap Chinese trinkets sold to tourists that should be charged admission to visit the graves of our military dead? There is no difference between that and the 911 site. They are both a national graveyard. Perhaps we can sell miniature plastic gravestones made in China to support that too.
What a sick nation that cannot support this kind of thing
The only reason we are lacking in taking care of our citizens is because we insist on making sure the entire nations wealth goes to a very few people , and they choose to send it off shore.”

“Here's the link to the Welcome Center at Arlington National Cemetery. http://www.arlingtoncemetery.mil/visitorinformation/WelcomeCenter.aspx It has a bookstore in it. How much you want to bet they sale cheap trinkets in there? There's also a gift shop at Pearl Harbor and The Alamo and many other places where Americans have died.
The cost of admission on a regular day is too high. But there is free admission on Tuesdays and 9/11 families can go for free. The biggest complaint I may have about the place is the director's salary may be too high. I'm trying to find information on whether it's comparable with the private sector or not. He's a professional and we need to attract good people, however, I'm against over paying them.
I also don't agree with the cheap Chinese trinkets. In that sacred place, for once, we should insist on American made. That's just insensitive, unpatriotic, and dumb. But having something available for people to purchase because they want to have an official memorial item is not wrong. Don't judge people for wanting something to hold on to. These Americans choose to visit the site and are supporting it at the same time. Do you remember the government shut down? Can you imagine them not funding that museum 50 - 100 years from now because people forgot how important it was? When was the last time anybody mentioned Pearl Harbor?”
“How about she was happy with her small circle of friends and content with her interests and had the cash to indulge them?
She did not seem to need all the trappings of wealth but she kept her fathers estate intact if empty. She was very generous to her friends and charity
Why does everyone assume she was unhappy?
She seems according to those that knew her to be perfectly happy with her life, a sane and charming woman.”
“Like it or not human beings are a form of animal mammal. They along with any other mammal are meant to feed their young from their breasts. Only humans make the breast something controversial which is rediculas. Lets tell dogs and cats not to breast feed in public too. LOL”
“Assault is assault no matter what the provocation. The person that threw the slushie should be arrested. There are no exceptions for breaking the law , and the woman had the right to hold a sign even if no one liked the message period.
This is America. Some people dont like gay parades either , they are still free to have them. It is called our laws period.”
“She can receive $35.00 per person per week no matter what she buys, why should you care if she spends it on crab legs and starves the rest of the week ? She wont get any more money no matter what she buys.
The idea of the outrage over what poor people buy on food stamps simply makes no sense.”

“Would it be okay with you if someone on this assistance sold them for 50 cents on the dollar? Would it matter what they bought with that money? I'm all for these programs but it seems some people figure the definition of abuse differently.”
ssinff on May 4, 2014 at 09:37:01
“Where are you getting outrage? I simply posted an opinion....along with the qualifier that I know that many many people need food assistance (far more people than actually receive them, unfortunately).”
“Does no one care that 4000 people have already died building these the stadiums for these games ? Is it truly all about the money and the weather conditions for this sport? What a sad cometary on the condition of the human race .”
