“Yeah, it is ridiculous, given that she was found innocent of half the charges and she surely will be found innocent of this one as well. It's written up to sound pretty incriminating here, but there isn't much (or any) meat to this charge. The governor's mansion is in Juneau, the governor of Alaska doesn't even spend most their working days in Juneau, so it makes sense not to live in Juneau. Not only that, it saves the state money since staying in Juneau would require more total miles travelled going to achorage where most business is conducted. And she's reasonably be getting per-diem either way, since the distance from Juneau to Anchorage is the same regardless of which direction you're travelling.
