1. Obama and the Democrats inherited a country that the Bush administration had driven into the ground. Perhaps you don't remember that the economic crisis began while McCain and Obama were still campaigning? The Obama administration has brought us back from the brink of national bankruptcy, and there are signs of recovery. See, it's kind of a daunting task to undo 8 years of foolishness, chicanery, and overspending on a war fought under false pretenses.

2. Ferraro didn't tell lies, attempt to begin WWIII with Russia in her first press interview, use race-baiting tactics in her campaign that led to death threats against her opposition, or otherwise demonstrate herself to be one of the most thoughtless, small-minded demagogues ever to make it to the Vice-Presidential candidacy. And since 8 years of Bush-Cheney distortions of fact and polarizing language have encouraged small-minded thinkers everywhere to come out of the woodwork to demonstrate their racism and love of lies, Ms. Palin actually has a following and those of us who understand just how dangerous she would be if she were ever to hold office again know that she does indeed represent a threat- to womens' rights, the environment, scientific and intellectual thought, and well, you know, the entire planet.”
