“Dems will increase margins in Senate and will
take the house. Charles Krauthammer says so,
thus it must be true!
This-is-My, I do not like the way you think. I
sense that you are a very dumb Republican.
I feel sorry for that.”
“They will stay in Washington only a few years; he will make countless
speeches at six figures a copy, and he will write books. He will make tens
of millions of dollars.
By then President Hillary will be fully in command and will thoroughly
remake the Supreme Court. Yes, there ARE ways of getting sitting
justices to resign. So, Hillary will appoint Barek Obama Chief Justice
for life and that will be that. All will lively happily forever after.
Hillary should have become president in 2009 with Obama as VP -- life
would have been very different and BETTER, but what I suggest is a good compromise. Can it be made to work”
“Well, Cruz would have to be elected to the House first and that is not likely to happen. Where Cruz belongs, for certain, is a mental institution; he is one neurotic cowboy, Harvard variety.
I understand the Hartford Retreat is taking a few carefully selected new clients and I am going to make a reservation with them for Ted. Has a freshman Senator ever made such a ruckus? I think not!!! Surely he is a one-termer.”

“Hopefully the Hartford Retreat has a branch in Canada. Or Cuba.”
“Wherever Biden is hiding, let him stay there.
We don't want to make the situation any worse.
I have a feeling all this is going to end well.
It will take some time and further effort, but
Putin is so out on a limb he has to deliver.
So everyone will win a little something and
we may well have averted yet another war in
But I am a bit sorry that Congress did not (yet)
get a chance to vote Obama down, on what was
a very very BAD plan to bomb Syria. Poor Obama;
he just can't seem to do anything right just now.
I thought he was smarter than all this!”
“I still want members of Congress to have to buy their own medical
insurance, and now they can do it via Obamacare.
How sweet that would be!
Can it be done by Executive Order? For such a change would never
be voted by you know who!”
LadyDem10 on Aug 13, 2013 at 18:29:47
“So far no one has been able to confirm your desire either way.
Part of the mystique among those in Congress.”

“Aint gunna happen !!!!(not good enough for them)”
“Chris, rage against the stupid harmless Weiner all you wont (he does not
have a political future), he is ever so far less dangerous than Larry
Summers. Mr Summers should be put out to pasture and kept there
Obama needs to quit Harvard and East of the Hudson for talent. There
is LOTS more to American than the provincial and puffed up self-important
Obama seems to be able to grasp.
What a wasted five years ... so far.
The man has not one oz. of fight in him.
Disappointed in Santa Fe”
“Oh Hell! Just send the Navy Seals into the Moscow
airport and take him out, or bring him home! Has the
Obama government EVER made a successful deal
with anyone? Let me quote Hillary Clinton from 2008:
"Obama can't close a deal."”
“Or, Swiss, it's about crying "wolf!" That seems a specialty
in Obama's Washington, beginning at the top.
Does Obama have any credibility left?”
Swiss2011 on Jul 11, 2013 at 12:55:20
“Not much to be honest...having said that, Romney would have done all that and then some. It's really frustrating that the only choice the American people seem to have is to pick something bad...or something horrible. 3rd party candidates have no chance because the media are so bought at this point, they don't have a real platform to get enough exposure. ”
“NYC should proclaim, by acclamation, Bloomberg as Mayor for Life. He's been the cleanest and best thing in NY politics in many years. Keep him! Just pull a political coup and do not let him go from City Hall. It can be done if enough people want to.
The Jews are cleaning up New York! Hooray. Spitzer will do his part for now, Schneiderman in Albany is doing just fine and Bloomberg has long since proven what he can do. I am all for 'em!
The day of the Italians and the Irish has past. Then, AZterritory, NY WILL have set a high bar, and it is surely time to do so.”
“TPS: You are just one smartass! Jeez.
The pyramids were built by slaves. And
Brooks is right. Both Nixon and the 11th ed. of
the Encyclopedia Britannica argued that dark
skinned people are unable to govern themselves.
May be some truth in that.
The less involvement the USA has with the
entire mid-east, from Libya to the border of
Turkey, the better. Let 'em eat each other up
just like the calico dog and gingham cat!
I wish Obama knew better that his top ten
priorities are domestic, right here at home.
What a superficial sweet talker he is!”
“There is a slow malignant Republican coup going on in America right
now, and cable news is not covering it for what it is. What in hell IS
it about abortion issues that so engage the Republicans? All these
State laws are meaningless, as Roe vs. Wade is settled law and is
not about to change.
Upon reflection, I expect the Republican goal is to get a case before
the supreme court that will seek to reverse or undo R v. Wade, and
make prohibition of abortion the law of the land. Why? Believe me,
it is only marginally related to religion, and that to very fringy
sects. The U. S. News Industry had better get its ass in gear and
start doing some real investigative reporting on anti-abortionists!
There is something very EVIL in what the Republicans are doing.”
“Assume it! William looks very much like his mother.
But WHAT a mistake Diana was -- on every count! Yes,
I admit the House of Windsor treated her with a certain
cool disdain, but she was never never cut out for the
role. I just wish old Liz would step down so King
Charles could have a few good years running the House.”
Janalyce2 on Jun 16, 2013 at 09:56:54
“Old Liz has done a damn fine job, starting when she was a whopping 22 years old. She never wanted the job. All she wanted was to be a Navy wife. She had about one happy year of that before her father died.
I wouldn't mind if she handed over to Charles....but a little respect is in order for someone whose been "on duty" 2/47 for 50+ years.”
“So, Marcel, why wouldn't a term or age limit accomplish
your goal? I think it would be best to limit by age, 75 seems
about right. I also think the Chief Justice should be limited
as to the duration of his/her term.
After Obama out of the White House for three or four
years, I would like to see a President Clinton appoint him
Chief Justice. Obama would be a better SC Justice than
president, by temperament and intelligence, and he would
still be under age-60, so he would have a long tenure and
could stop a lot of extreme Republican madness. That is
just about my number one priority for American politics
over the next decade. What is yours?”
Marcel Bennett on Jun 13, 2013 at 12:10:19
“One of the reason they have no term limits is because this way they are not influenced by politics and changing presidencies.
That is the reason they say, however that doesn't stop anything. Most of their decisions are based more on their convictions than what is right, and if you have a majority with the same beliefs then you can have a really dysfunctional system”
“I think the point is to keep him AWAY from punditry -- that did not work, big time.
While I like Keith's politics, I cannot stand his overbearing personality and lack
of sense of self. He'll do much much better as a baseball commentator -- up
to the point he misbehaves again, then we'll see. Don't go to the bank on
this one folks!”
TonyLiberal ie I Care on Jun 8, 2013 at 09:54:59
“Sorry, I disagree.
The problem is that we NEED more over-the-top, hyper-partisans on the left, because they are the exception, whereas on the right, they are the rule.
Right now I only count Ed Schultz, Martin Bashir, and Lawrence O'Donnell in that category of pundits who have no problem calling teapuglicans the liars that they are, and getting down in the muck with them. I'll admit that occasionally Chris Mathews can be counted on to express strong opinions, but he refuses to use the word "lie" or "liar" when debunking teapuglican liars and their lies.
Not sure what you mean by "lack of sense of self", but my feeling is that sometimes, as the person in charge, you have to put your ego on the shelf, get out of the way, and let your stars be who they are.
I never heard of any incident where KO punched (pun intended) anyone right? It was always over "artistic differences", some minor infraction, or some other minutiae that for anyone else, would not have resulted in their firing.
You think O'Reilly is always a nice guy? Or that Oxycontin-popping radio blowhard?”
“Can Gov Christie appoint himself to the United States Senate?
I am sure that would be his preference. Get away from all this
messy governorship with its inconvenient accountability, etc.
I am serious!”
Australian2 on Jun 3, 2013 at 20:40:23
“Whyever would he do that? Let's face it - so far, he looks like steamrolling his way to an easy victory and a second term in November, like him or loathe him - why give that away and start a torrent of speculation as to WHY you walked away from an easy win?”
GenaricName on Jun 3, 2013 at 20:18:36
“Definitely not: It is a clear cut conflict of interest, not to mention political suicide.”
“I like Chris Hayes' politics and information level, but I find him a most
unattractive pundit -- he waves his arms around like a symphonic
conductor; you can't see his eyes because of those black glasses frames; if I am in another room and hear his voice but don't see his face, I sometimes think he's a college girl cheerleader. Worst of all, Chris will
just not accept coaching. He's been told about his gestures and arms
a zillion times, and nothing happens.
I have a theory, based on the claim that the "powerful" Maddow got
Ed replaced by Haynes: Chris is really a lesbian in disguise and sometimes it just spills over. (Darlings, I am just joking!)
I say to Mr Griffith and MSNBC: "Man up, boys, and put the strong andbright and right Ed Schultz back on where he belongs." Put Hayes in the Marines for four years, then give him another audition.
SlapMe on May 30, 2013 at 22:05:52
“I agree with you. Ed did not deserve to be kicked to the curb and replaced by a man who is searching for his vagina.”
