America Without a Middle Class
Commented Dec 03, 2009 at 06:41:54 in Business
“This has been our road to destruction for quite some time now...the constant drum beat of welfare is bad, corporate subsidy is good, unions are bad, right to work is good, it's your ethnic neighbor that is causing you to have to pay so much in taxes, it's because of entitlement you can't seem to make it up the ladder, you're busy paying SS and MC for the old, food stamps for the young, and you're the only ones who are actually working and making it on your own....that's the tirade the wingers have been feeding those that have awaken to realize they are no where near lower or upper middle class, the only thing is they haven't left their neighborhoods to find out what upper middle class and weatlthy really is. As long as they have more than their nearest downtrodden neighbor, who has almost nothing, they feel superior and count themselves in that group of people they think are upper middle class, when those they look at are lower middle class and they are actually poor, those they look down upon are destitute.”

“Wealth in abundance, that is what is said of our nation by many in this country and many who live abroad.
Human beings should be honored and respected, poverty and hunger should have been eliminated a long time ago.
Many look for the answer to the question, why.
I say the real question and the answer is whether we look at human life from the point of view of the nation or of life.
The "eyes of the nation" are quick to reduce people to numbers and inanimate objects, enslaving human life to the interests of those in power.
But the "eyes of life" look at each individual as precious, irreplaceable and unique.
When we throw off the baggage of priviledge, prejudice, and injustice we will come closer to solving our problems.”

“Happy Thanksgiving Flavor !!
It's very important, money that is, but the delivery of the needed goods with smiles and a loving word of kindness is so much better than contributing to a charity and having someone else do it mechanically. It is so important that charity begin at home, that means as close to you as you can possibly get. I like personally delivering meals, or buying clothing for those that don't have clothing during a trip to the store that we share...I like joining them for dinner and inviting them to have dinner out with me from time to time, just to keep up with their progress...I like sharing an encouraging word, and you can't do that by donating to charity... Get up close and personal with the problem and it will be eliminated...donate to organizations and it will never be eliminated...just controlled.
May your day be joyous and your year be prosperous and your giving be endless !!”

“Happy Thanksgiving Everybody !!
Just a few words I would like everyone to remember on this day of Thanksgiving:
If, all is in flux, and there is no permanence, how do we cope with the world around us? Do we flee from it? Do we merely resign ourselves to the fleeting nature of life? Or do we challenge it? In fact, an appreciation of the constantly changing nature of all things is the key to happiness, for it means that no matter how bad a situation is, it will change. No misfortune is permanent; no misfortune insurmountable. For those that would come together to work to end hunger in the world, for those that would be against war, and be willing to come together to put a stop to it, for all that would be happy, on this day of Thanksgiving, give thanks for your ability to change things for those that are suffering, and after enjoying your holiday celebration today, make a vow tomorrow to get involved..help make the changes you would like to see in this world by doing something to make a difference no matter how great or small.”
