“This former governor made history in Alaska, she is the only governor to lose Federal Funding for Medicare and Medicaid for her state. This happened because she hired her friends and people she knew, to run programs in her state, who didn't know what they were doing. This has never happened before in Medicare's history. Kinda like Brownie, the ex horse breeder, or what ever he was running FEMA. I have a feeling this is why she quit in July, I bet she thought this story was going to blow up. Unfortunately, this whole story flew under the radar, people passed away waiting for services. This story is from the Anchorage Daily News last July, the month she quit.

“Yes, we do. Here in Oregon, we are a very straightforward people. Pragmatic, direct. Peter DeFazio is my representative here in the 4th Congressional District, I am a delegate. I just had dinner tonight with our Secretary of State, Kate Brown, then she was speaker at tonight's Democratic monthly meeting. We have two Democratic Senators, and a Dem Governor. I live in a red precinct, but the state went blue. At the town halls this summer, DeFazio had about 30 of them, he handled the tea party people with aplomb and compassion, even the loud mouths were quieted, it was great. While I don't always agree with his voting record, I have great respect for him.”
