“Texas and Florida that I know for sure..but look it up to confirm for yourself. I just happen to hear about why people are moving to some states and looked it out for myself, and it checks out. I know for a fact of a a couple who made the move with an eye on protecting what they have. The only thing you cannot protect is money in a non retirement account. A lot of folks go to the pre-paid cards route, have their money deposited there..lots more tricks, I just have not investigated it thoroughly...right now I wish I had, so I could tell you more.”

“I have a concern about the millions of people who got sucked into this last bubble. With all these people with ruined credit, and credit card bills, HELOC;s, mortgages and what have you, they are sitting ducks for people like this to feed on. For years they will be the ones that the banks, insurance companies, landlords etc to feed on. They don't have a choice, all doors have been slammed shut. They even get discriminated against to get a job! Jeeeeze, you might as well have a felony!

This should be addressed. We cannot marginalize such a large majority of our population and allow them to be preyed on. Why do you think the Texas population is growing? “I have been vocal as heck about the financial issues, but that's my thing. We all have our niche. I wear the team jersey and I can call them as I see them. There is no way I would vote for a republican. The bums we got better get their game on with the money, cos lord knows, it's getting kind of scarce for people down here. The other guy lost already. They can do it within 30 days, just like they can hike up CC interest rates in that amount of time.. No more carping about how the "losers" get a better deal. Everyone gets it. If you can't afford that, you are probably toast to begin with. I don't care if investors get a deal on it too. There are too many houses. If everyone can get a low interest loan, they have more money in their pockets, they will buy and sell. Why not? The banks get their money at close to 0, and don't give me the moral hazard stuff. When the government shafted the bond holders on GM and presented the spoils to UAW, they did not blink an eye.

“Dig deeper into Taibbi's resume, and the journalism he was practicing during the implosion of the economy in then USSR, was pretty darn good, makes Liesman of CNBC look like the suck up he is. I follow Taibbi's growth in his craft with interest. His language is not formal, that is fine with me. To get everything right in this huge debacle with so many moving parts is almost impossible, you miss one angle and the whole picture gets skewed.

He has strong opinions, I love his passion. I tend to read as many viewpoints as I can to form my own, which then keeps changing. He is finding his voice, which is good, because I feel he is on the right path in voicing what is percolating in the universal consciousness, help us crystallize it, so to speak...I will not dismiss him so casually.”

“I do...there is no other reason they would spend hours tossing their inane one liners that has little to do with the subject matter, it is just to distract the conversation and reduce it to bickering. I doubt even one of us has decided we are going to go republican and is now posting on a red site. For one thing, they are as boring as all get out, and secondly a constant diet of negativity wears you out real quick.

What they don't understand is, we will never vote republican. We will call our own teams bums or what not. That's our job, try to keep them honest. But after those 8 years under Bush, never again...not going to happen. But they will try.”
