Bush Punk'd Us Again

Bush Punk'd Us Again

“I don't think Obama will support an investigation of Bush administration people because he's trying to bring the two parties together and an investigation will only drive them further apart. What he's missing is both parties will never be as one because one is for the money interests and the other is for the people.
Is Obama naive?”

“I guess you haven't been reading the news on the international level. The national news is so partisan as to be almost worthless, but if you poke around the world you can find out what the various political parties have done in our name, Democrats included. Your concept is not far off except it is not that one party is for the money interests and one for the people. Both major political parties are for the money interests, their particular money interests. The People are for the People and fighting for their future against the short-sighted money interests. If Obama was truly for the people there would be no doubt about trying Bush and Cheney for treason and war crimes. There is no doubt what they did and their disregard for the legal system. To prove we are a nation of Law we must first enforce the laws. Pure and simple. If Obama wants to "move on" and "look forward" he should do so in the spirit and sense of obligation to those millions who died to create and preserve this country. This country is defined by the Constitution and our laws. Those defining elements clearly do not give him the option of ignoring war crimes, crimes against humanity, perjury, murder, and so forth. In point of fact, if Obama will not investigate and prosecute those criminals he should be impeached so that we can select a leader who respects their obligations and their oath of office.”

“as the rethugs have already shown, they will do anything against Obama or our Country as a Whole. this Country cannot Heal until these Criminals are put on Trial and i hope President Obama knows this. Pelosi and Reid need to push this or be put out of Office and the Spinless Democrats need to understand WE WON.”

“Are you telling me that "the people" aren't interested in money? or being rich? If you were wearing the other shoe you would not say such things.....”

“No, but he's not reactionary, either. As soon as his pieces are in place, I would hope that this snowball with start rolling downhill, picking up a lot of this debris along the way, so by the time it hits bottom, Rove, Miers, Cheney, Rice, Gonzo, Libby, and good ole W are all stuck in the clump, all completely unable go get out of the mess. I have faith that between Holder and Emmanuel, the time of rolling over just to get along is over.”

“Actually, since Bush's approval ratings were ranging between 29 and 34% during the last months of his administration, investigating Bush/Cheney would not really divide the country. 71 - 66% of those disapproving clearly make up a pretty decent majority... Obama needs to press on w/ this. But he does need to get his cabinet all put together first.”

“C.Kennedy would be an excellent choice for the Senate. She is honest, intelligent, has integrity, connections, youth, & an untainted reputation. In other words, she's the one for NY!!! Can anyone suggest a better candidate than CK?”

“Yes, Rep. Carolyn Maloney. I know where she stands on the issues and I know how hard she has worked over the years for her constituents.

I do get a kick out of the overwhelming support on this blog for C. Kennedy considering the massive amount of comments during the primaries speaking out against a "Clinton dynasty".”

“What exactly did we win in the Iraq war? If the truth be known (which I doubt), weren't we there for the oil and isn't that why we would rather not leave? If the surge was so successful and Iraq is no longer violent why should we remain there? Hussein is history and no WMD have been found. Why are we still there?”

“There is probably some truth to the comments that those who dislike Bill Clinton have made but the fact remains that at the end of his presidency the country had a surplus and the world loved America.”

gisellestwocents replied on Sep 25, 2008 at 12:19:24

“The Republicans didn't love Bill Clinton. In fact, they tried to have him removed from office. Now their "friends and supporters" are joining the Repubs? And Bill thinks that the man who cruelly and childishly insulted his daughter is a stand up guy? That does not compute...

Some people actually did give their life for this country. Some people gave their arms and legs, their faces, their family members...how about some enthusiasm for the candidate who would honor those people and try to prevent adding to their number.

This election is not about 8 years ago. It's about 8 years from now.”

Pappadave replied on Sep 25, 2008 at 08:40:21

“Oh, that must be why the planning for 9/11 began early in 2000--when "the world loved America." Some of you yellow-dog Democrats are simply amazing! Revisionism is SO passe. There are just too many sources available other than the In-The-Tank media to get away with this stuff any longer. It's about time you caught up. Also, the President doesn't spend a single dime of taxpayer's money. In case it's escaped your notice, the House of Representatives MUST originate all spending and taxing bills and it was NOT Bill Clinton who controlled the House in 2000...or for the 5 years prior to 2000, for that matter.”
