“Decades ago there WERE such bras, we called them training bras. They were white only, fastened with hooks like regular bras, but had stretchy cups so a girl could continue to wear them as her breasts got bigger. Once she got to a size that a regular bra would fit, she'd get those.”
“Depending on the healthcare in the location where he had his accident, there might be a vastly different outcome. As a Physician Assistant, This was my first thought, as well. I've enjoyed his show, I had concerns about what level of care he had available to him.
My concern was hightened by the injury to my niece. She was vacationing in a Caribbean island (don't remember which). She had a very serious back injury. Parents chartered a plane to pick her up, but that took about 24 hrs. She laid on an E.R. gurney for that whole time. Her condition was such that after her surgery, she lay in a bed for a year in a cast recuperating. Her mom took the day shift, dad took the night shift caring for her.
I'm very glad that Lawrence is able to get back to work in a much shorter time.”

“I use Vegenaise regularly. I was vegetarian, but when back to fish & poutry about 40 yrs. ago. I've learned that I have 8 food sensitivities, eggs are one. I use Vegenaise on sandwiches and it's great!”

“I went vegetarian at about 20. I got a gov't publication with food values of all sorts of foods. Today, I guess people would need to buy a book. ANYONE who is thinking of going veggie or vegan should do it by studying food values.
I still refer to that gov't publication even 40 some years later.
I'd suggest to start with a good broth, and add your own veggies and noodles, etc. for soup.”

“I was vegetarian for about 5 years. I got a book that listed the nutritional values of a LOT of foods. I lost a reasonable amount of weight and kept a good body weight for all those years. Most of the foods that people who are vegetarian eat are NOT high carb foods.
Young people who don't know how to cook or don't know or bother to learn what vitamins, etc. are in the food they eat may fill up on high calorie, high carb foods, but those who care what's in their food easily find healthy, meat free food.”

“Hence the word of caution about dependence on high-carb foods ;)”

“We would ALL do better if we used meat as a modest addition to a meal, instead of wolfing down a big steak, etc. Better health, live longer, feel better.
I have been vegetarian for several years in my 20's, and in the last 40 yrs. I've eaten only fish, poultry and lots of good veggies & grains. My weight and cholesterol are excellent.”

“You don't have to give up mayo to be vegan. My regular supermarket carries Vegenaise which is wonderful. I'm not vegan, but am sensitive to eggs (and several other foods), but I don't have to give up mayo. It makes for a great BLT!”
“If you have a million dollar home, it's built in an area with other very expensive homes. You don't build next to a trailer or such. In each kind of area, a garden can be what would fit in that area.
I do understand that cities or HOA's do have limitations. I know some HOA's won't allow clothes lines.”
“As a woman and ordained deacon in the Liberal Catholic Church, I can say that would not be ok. I would never be able to be a priest, as it seems that when the hosts are consecrated by a woman, the consecration doesn't "last". It fades away.”
“I am a woman & an ordained deacon in the Liberal Catholic Church. The founder of that branch was clear that it was fine to have women deacons and subdeacons, but not priests. The one and only reason: He had subtle perception and could tell that the hosts consecrated by a woman didn't hold the consecration.
In the early church, women had a role in the church. They officiated often at funeral masses. They baptized. There were other functions that they were capable of doing.
I think it's time the Roman Church opens some of these functions to women..”
“That's outrageous. Those laws should be changed.”

“While I agree with you, this usually happens in the more upscale places where they don't want their impeccably groomed lawns and gardens sitting next to some clown who thinks he's Mr. Douglas. It's called protecting your property values. Having a slum clearnce area next to your million dollar home is not usually a selling point. Not everyone views the world from the bottom up. I'm a working stiff too. I'm just pointing out that there are different points of view.”
“I live in a small city that allows people to have a small number of chickens in town. I'm not sure how many, 3, I think. Our land is on such a slope that I haven't tried it. It's better to have a moveable coup on wheels and move it every couple of days to a new bit of grass. Hard to do with our slope.”
“I know that dealing with a loved one who is in the process of dying was a difficult thing. My sister cared for our mother in her last days. It was good that she could be with mom, but a long, hard time. If you were your mother's caregiver, you know exactly what I mean. It was many months to get over the physical and emotional toll it took.
I wish you the time and help to go thru that.”
