“So a woman with no children and a 60+ year old boyfriend says you can only marry if you're fertile and planning on having children.... Why am I not surprised. She's been wrong about nearly everything she's done under the criminal Rick Scott.”
“"Boonstra said it “can’t be true” that her new coverage is cheaper than her old.
“I personally do not believe that,” Boonstra said."
Wow that's new, denying basic math..... I wonder if that'll work at the bank. Lets try withdrawing a half million and when the teller says you don't have enough just say I personally don't believe that.”
“Because when your platform is so terrible and your candidates so incompetent they're completely unelectable, change the rules of the elections.... This nation was built on the idea of representation with taxation, now republicans are trying to explicitly remove the American citizens ability to vote for the person they want representing them. This is in my eyes treason, a high crime against our nation. They are no longer patriots, they are greedy traitors.”
“This is exactly why we can't have nice things anymore..... Everyone involved in the negotiations with Iran on both sides of the aisle state this is a mistake yet republicans still attempt to take hostages of the nation by willfully provoking harm on the citizens. Who the heck votes for these people anyways?”
“Imagine that, elected officials putting aside party politics for the good of Americans, why does it only seem to be one party who is capable of acting in the best interests of citizens not themselves....”
“By the way I'm glad you called Bush "lawless" as well when he delayed implementation of Medicare Part D twelve times by executive order. Wait you did criticize Bush for acting unilaterally through executive orders right? RIGHT??”
“Please cite your source for the assertion that more people have been kicked off their previous plan than have signed up because I know for a fact you are completely and utterly wrong. I'll be waiting for your credible source...”
“Guess it was a political decision when Bush unilaterally delayed implementation of Medicare Part D when there were issues implementing it as well. Good thing there are citizens like you to fairly judge the situation in light of historical fact and come to a reasoned point of view on the subject..... I'm certain you were howling mad when W did it as well.”
“Sharpest minds??? When he shut down the government he didn't even have a gameplan. He recently threatened again except this time he didn't know what he actually wanted so his colleagues laughed him out of the House chambers...”
“So you endorse a states right to segregate a portion of society from equal protection as guaranteed by the constitution? Do you know how ridiculous that sounds, to allow a state to decide to discriminate on an institutional level?”
“I don't get it, why is a lawmaker concerned with this? "It gets enforced against Christian pastors who decline to perform gay marriages, who speak out and preach biblical truths on marriage." "Biblical truths on marriage" only apply to religious ceremonies and recognition, not legal recognition. Why isn't he concerned with LEGAL truths on marriage, you know the part he was elected and paid to pay attention to...”
“Absolutely, you're missing everything here. The jobs "lost" are not jobs, it's people choosing to leave work. When someone's fired you feel sorry for them but when they retire you congratulate them. Many people were holding onto jobs well past retirement to maintain health insurance, well they can now retire. That's one less person working, but one more job opening. Many people work two or three jobs to afford insurance, now they can work one job freeing up more jobs for the unemployed while maintaining coverage. You have, like FOX, completely misinterpreted the report in every way. No one is losing their jobs, they are simply now able to stop working and retire without risking their health. By the way it's estimated that the law will require an additional 2 million or so healthcare workers in the near future so not only can grandma and grandpa finally retire but the job market for medically trained students is about to blow up.”
“"John Boehner (R-Ohio) reportedly told his members in a private meeting Tuesday that there was "no sense picking a fight" they couldn't win."
The first sensible thing he's said in years....”

“True, now he needs to go get a drink. F&F”

“Quite different from five years ago when these "teavaginalists" said they would never compromise. And after five plus years of doing exactly that, the only progress we have seen is when the Democrats force an issue.
But don't be fools...the "teavaginalists" will continue to try to pick fights they can't win. And it will lead them into losing more elections.
It's one thing to stand up for what you believe. It's quite another to refuse to compromise when you can't win, and end up without anything.
“I'm sorry which "acts" were you referring to, holding each others hands because my younger brother holds mine, does that make us gay and repulse your religious beliefs? If so maybe you need to re-evaluate how you live your life.”
