“Yes, being spit is one of the lowest jesters anyone can give. It is right there with being pissed on.”

“It's also childish and unnecessary in a class room setting, regardless of bratty kids or not, the only thing that teacher is "teaching" his students is that it is Ok to treat a subordinate (because lets face it not a lot of school are alternative education ones) like they are less than a human being. This is where a lot of social problems stem from I think, not exactly from an isolated incident like this one, but from many incidents where someone was treated like less than what they actually were.”
“The teacher was provoking the student to strike out at him. There was no respect. The title of teacher has respect, but they loose it by there behavior and students do not get taught. Both loose. Get rid of that teacher, offer early retirement, but get him out of our school system. We need to revamp the school system. I believe the union does not help our students. Teacher evaluations and random class visits, and yes hidden camera's would put some insight into classrooms. A lot of our teachers are abusing there authority (position) as educators. They are having sex with them, abusing them in many ways and now spitting on them.... Accountability People!!!”

“They "loose" it huh? And then they both "loose" it.
That's the word you are going with? "loose"?”

“Wrong. The student provoked the teacher. You obviously know nothing about classrooms today.”
“I believe welfare recipients should be drug tested before they receive benefits. They should be investigated on what information they give when they apply as well.”
hark on Feb 15, 2012 at 21:02:35
“Welfare? Do you have any idea what you are talking about? Unemployment insurance is an Insurance program. You pay premiums, you get benefits if you suffer from the events covered. It's not welfare. Get a grip on yourself. You want to exclude people who take drugs (what drugs, by the way?), you don't make them pay premiums in the first place. Ever thought of that?
Of course not. You right wingers don't know what thinking is, and thus we sink, collectively, as a nation, because you guys are all hateful, bigoted, and a bunch of idiots.”
Bills Catz on Feb 15, 2012 at 21:01:34
“You do, do ya? Spoken like somebody who likely couldn't tell a 'welfare recipient' from a koala bear. Hey, I believe that for every drop of rain that falls something gets a bit of water on it. Ain't that special? LOL”

“How about those corporate welfare recipients? Shouldn't they be tested as well?”
“I believe we have to follow our hearts in what we feel is right. The Christian Pastor asked for the boycott. Same for the right of Starbucks supports gay marriages. That is why I'm proud to be an American and practice my constitutional rights. I don’t buy Starbucks because it cost too much for the product. Is Starbucks franchised or is it owned by one person?”
“Take out the tenure policies in schools. Teachers should be reviewed and evaluated periodically, with random classroom monitoring. Get the bad teachers out. Hire new teachers that will do there job, educate out children.”
csmomo on Jan 8, 2012 at 10:59:02
“That is what most school boards and administrations attempt to do. Teachers are in most places that I know of evaluated and and reviewed. Quite possibly this teacher had an unblemished record until now. Evaluation and review do not extend into the future.”

“unfortunately, you are fighting Unions.”
helensaghy on Jan 8, 2012 at 10:35:16
“If we did that based on student performance there would be no teachers. A teacher can't make a child prepared to be in school in the morning, and that is the deciding factor for most kids (success versus failure is directly related to morning prep/sleep/focus). If you take out tenure, etc., every single benefit of being a teacher, you won't have them and what you will be left with is the dummies. You'll get what your're trying to remove.
Unfortunately we live in a world that is inrigued by a 17 year old married to a 51 year old, makes them celebrities, and then we have issue with a 40 some year old teacher and a 17 year old student who is likely of age of consent in her state?
Here lies the problem and until we remove these double standards this will continue.”

“Good idea, but you will never get it passed the Democrat controlled teachers unions.”
