Palin Book Tour Host Requested 'Only English Speaking Press'
Commented Dec 03, 2009 at 10:24:44 in Politics
“I can almost understand the English only demand. It is the only language she almost speaks, sometimes, even, in complete sentences. Ironically, since they would have to translate, she would probably come off better in the foriegn press. The English speaking press is limited to what she actually says. Translators are always trying to state what was meant and a literal translation would always be construed as a bad translation. There would always be a temptation to 'clean it up'. Malaprops and non sequitors are so hard to convey without looking like making an editorial comment.”

America Without a Middle Class

“For the most of us, we are merely wage slaves. They have moved the company store. Today, it is the banks and credit industry. Our whole economic culture is designed to keep us indentured. They even have most convinced this is a good thing. But a wage slave is still a slave. Americans aren't nearly so free as they have been led to believe. Free is when you walk away, no one persues. I took a vow, a wedding bond with my wife. That is one thing. Try freeing yourself from the grid today. Try opting out of the banking/credit world today and you will be labeled subversive. Subservant or subversive, that is the question.”

Money is access and it doesn't much matter which party is in power. It's the American way. Any notions of some kind of altruistic Parson Weems nobility are pure vanity at best and more likely some phony front office window dressing to make the Babbits feel good about themselves.

Rep. Patrick Kennedy Banned From Receiving Communion By Bishop Thomas Tobin
Commented Nov 22, 2009 at 10:49:11 in Politics
“Why anyone would want to be part of such a hurtful organization is beyond me. Considering the sins of the church, that they would make judgements on anyone's fitness to 'practice' is simply bizarre. They need to get the log out of their own eye. I know, today, they usually remove their priests who have sex with children from ministry. Do they preclude them from communion? When I was growing up in Catholic schools, children were routinely beaten and abused in ways that would send anyone, even a nun, to prison today. I know it was standard practice but do they deny them communion or even ask for penitence? In their own histories, the church has behaved like a mafia organization. Do they ever try to atone for any of that? Their obsession with celibacy has led to a continuous history of perversion and abuse. It hardly began in America in the twentieth century. They have even sainted some of these monsters. They really need to stop acting holier then thou. They are not, by a long shot.”

“Palin admitted last week that she did not write the book! What is wrong with you? Everyone knows that she hired some other woman to write her story probably because she cannot spell or construct a logical sentence. That was shown to be true in every interview she did hence the reason why the GOP had to handle things for her and make sure she kept her mouth shut...Running away from one's problems is not the mature or adult thing to do so here she shows that she would one day just get fed up with the running of the country and quit when things were not going her way. There are many reasons that this is coming out now and one is that most of us are very afraid of the way the media keeps touting her as someone who is a viable candidate for public office when in fact her governship was a fluke, a chance that had she pulled it off, perhaps she would have made VP one day. Since she was not able to complete the last job, no one should be juicing her up for the big job of leading our country. A beauty queen pageant is about all she could handle between having children, so please Mrs. Palin, leave the governing to those who can find Europe on a map and know that Africa is an entire continent rather than a country!”
