“WHO wrote this article or sponsored it? Cannot find that info. After reading this the part that seems to make me go HMMM is where it says " E-cigarettes aren't taxed like traditional tobacco products." Bet that upsets the tobacco companies :) Then there is "Despite unknown health consequences..." yet this article tries to say there are. Another slant I noticed "Even though some studies suggest that secondhand vapor poses health risks, many lawmakers have yet to determine whether smoking rules apply to e-cigarettes, according to USA Today." Love the "some studies" rhetoric. I am afraid I will ignore this entire article, when some hard facts come out I will stop smoking these. Oh by the way the part about being addictive, LOL, myself and everyone I know still seems to crave real cigarettes even when using these and almost have to push yourself to smoke them. Also.. "And e-cigarette companies are spending a TON on advertising." Want to bet it is only a very tiny fraction of what the tabaco companies pay and probably are who are behind or convinced this writer to write this Huffington Post article.”
“asrlrm, Do you realize that your post sounds prejudiced? So now anyone who lives outside a big city is stupid? Agreed there are a lot who are, as well as in big cities too, this is the problem of categorizing.”
“Unfortunately, you are speaking of a radical and scary cult type faction of the Muslims and do not understand that all Muslims, in fact the majority of them, are just as afraid of this faction as you are. There are radical cult type factions in Christianity as well. There are some Muslim countries who have radical leaders this is the real problem.”
“As a mother of a daughter, my question is why the parents of the younger girl did not take steps in a different manor. It seems the relationship was going on for quite a while and they knew. Since they say it was an age issue, ok, why did they not have any control over this if she was only 14? Myself, if it was a guy or girl my daughter liked, why were they allowed to date?, I would have been picking her up after school everyday and hard talk with them both, then consequences, talk with the other's parents as well. However, they waited until the girlfriend was 18 1/2 then simply had her arrested. I ask..why they said the older girl made their daughter gay..what? If that is what they said then their real issue was not age but homophobia. I feel they are also harming their own daughter by their actions and non actions.”

Because you wouldn't want your 14 year old daughter to what, have orgasms? Or have orgasms with someone else? What are the consequences of two lesbians having sex? Tell me, mom. I don't understand what the problem is.”

“There you go. One of my problems with this is that the Smiths clearly were flummoxed when it came how to deal with a 14 year old beginning to want more independence. So Hunt wasn't really the problem. Their daughter - and their parenting was. Their daughter, being a teenager, doesn't want to listen all the time. But rather than sit down and deal with that creatively, recognizing that they were entering new territory in raising a teenager, they defined their problem as the Hunt girl and then dumped it off on the police to handle. If they think they solved their problem, the next four years are going to teach them otherwise. Do they intend to dump all their discipline and parenting problems off on someone else.
They better be upping their parenting, communication and problem solving skills if they want to get through the next 4 years with their family intact and functional. I recommend parenting classes, because they seem totally clueless.”

“I live where this case is. My daughter's boyfriend goes to the same school as the girls in question. The parents of the minor HAVE gone to both Katelyn and her parents, to try to stop the relationship. Even told them that they would go the legal route if it didn't end.
Katelyn was 18 and the girl 14 when this started. She was NOT 17 as has been reported.
The girls would text each other and meet in the girl's bathroom at school for sex acts. The 14 y.o.'s parents tried to stop the relationship as soon as they were aware of it.”

“The other parents didnt know it was a relationship. Kaitlyn's parents have been totally dishonest and made this about civil rights when this is about an 18 yo with a 14 yo. The truth always comes out.”
“When will the party of NO STOP all this craziness? Wondering how much it cost us all to keep wasting Congress time? Albert Einstein said the definition of crazy was repeating the same thing over and over and getting the same results. Therefore by logic, Congress IS crazy.”
“oooh ah think this is a bit of over reaction? "The experiment reportedly created a small explosion that caused the bottle's top to pop off and produced smoke. Although no one was hurt and no property was damaged, Wilmot was charged with “possession/discharge of a weapon on school property and discharging a destructive device,” according to WTSP. Both charges are felonies."”
“stepheneng, I guess I do agree Romney would have me and most the country out screaming in the streets, even though I am disappointed with this, even a little better is just that...better, but I sure do hope our President can stand up to the plate, still waiting, sigh.”
“Kalinas, you must be confused, the "fanatics" are the ones he tried to bow down to and they are a bunch of NO NO NO on everything group. However, although I was never a "fanatic" for him, I thought he would listen to the people who voted for him,not the extremist Tea Party and Corporations who have no soul, but we have the Fracking bill and Big Oil, environment bills, Big Ag Bills, Big Pharma Bills, Endangered Species bills and now this bill that you fanatics should love, yet you still blabber, unbelievable!”
“Not really Stewart, I have close friends in Chile, they would be pretty mad hearing what you just said. I do know that I have also read that rhetoric and thought was true too, so not blaming you, just saying don't always believe all news you read, everything can be slanted to compliment the view one has, even statistics.”
Stewart Goss on Apr 5, 2013 at 11:37:05
“I am fully aware that statistics can be manipulated however the evidence is overwhemling on all fronts. Both conservative and liberal newspapers admit to the economic boom in Chile.
Quoting friends is not an accurate way to measure economic performance.”
“Ok, I have been defending our President, even though there are some really serious things I disagree with him signing evolving the environment, wildlife, big AG, Big Pharma, Fracking, now he comes up with what sounds like yet another Republican bill, I can't take it anymore, he is losing my support for not standing up to what the people want and what he promised, there is nothing left to stick up for him for except for education gun control and Science, let's see when he caves on those too. If this passes it will make create protesting like we have not seen since the 60's.”

“good. glad to hear you're pulling the fog away so you can see more realistically.”
“My 51 yr old husband has gone all midlife crisis and is applying to go. We have been together for 21 years and have a daughter and a good relationship. Never thought it would be a planted I had to compete with, ugh.”
“This is something that those who sign up and have wife and family seem to be forgetting, my husband has already taken steps to sign up, I have already gone through serious grief symptoms, anger/surprise/sadness/devastation/heartbreak that he would leave us so easily, we will have been together for 31 years when they depart! Now working on acceptance and making plans on possibly leaving him, even though his being picked is unlikely for a couple reasons, the hurt is there.”
“Well, actually I am 62 now, married at 18 (engaged for a year!) for 23 yrs, but that is still irrelevant. You have no idea if he was a friend, just said she met him I believe, and pretty sure she didn't know he was a sex offender, good grief again. I do not know about you, but I meet people of all ages all the time. Again, I believe you need to apologize, for your uppity unconfirmed comments, to her Mom.”
