As for being scared of creepy people, high school contains teenagers, not little kids. We've seen creepy people and can (mostly) handle ourselves.”

“Seems like it also depends on what your school's NHS does. At my school, NHS is regarded as a waste of a club period- we rarely do community service for some reason or another.”

Lexus Luke on May 14, 2013 at 10:06:45

“The problem is that high school math is rarely simple (or at least in most classes). Can you do natural logs or square roots in your head?”

Amy Owthathurts on Feb 1, 2013 at 21:42:10

“It was a joke but if they needed calculators for that then the teacher could hand them out. That is what my teachers did. For the most part, I only had pencil, paper and my brain.”

“Yes i can... but that was because i was taught that way... I understand calculators to make life easier, but I'm not worried that my child would not be able to learn without it. I also think that the reason why math is so hard at HighSchool level is because Algebra is a bunch of BS... It teaches you to follow and memorize rules instead of understanding the concepts of the math.... What do you think?”

“Actually, they have been going on for a long time and the student just take them in stride. However, I am more concerned with preventing someone getting into the building to begin with. There seems to be problems with lack of security at the entrances. Also, many schools are made of the campus designs with many buildings. Poses a greater safety risk because many of the classrooms are in portables and isolated from the main buildings. Doors should always be kept locked.”
