“Yes, I meant that things started going rapidly downhill with Reagan. The airline industry is shot to hell and it all started with Reagan.”

“The same drugs are 67 percent cheaper in Canada.
"The high cost of drugs in the United States has caused many Americans to look towards Canada in order to obtain cheaper drugs. While the percentage of savings per individual drug varies, on average, prescription drugs in the United States cost sixty-seven percent more than they do in Canada. 1 The reason for such a sharp variance in prices is the Canadian government's price caps and strict regulation of pharmaceutical companies. 2 There is no comparable government regulation of pharmaceutical companies in the United States. 3 Hence, to access reasonably affordable drugs, many American consumers are turning to Canada and other foreign sources."

When he was asked in a televised interview who owned the patent to the vaccine, Salk replied: "There is no patent. Could you patent the sun?"”

“When US pharmaceutical companies sell their products overseas, they're much cheaper because no one over there will pay the prices they charge in the US. I read about a US tourist needing migraine medication in Tibet. When he asked the pharmacist what the cost was, the pharmacist said $8 for a pill; in the US, the same pill cost the tourist $85.”

“Hope you've got a REALLY BIG lawn to make up for the loss of things like, oh, the Amazon rainforest and the natural environment that is lost everytime a strip mine is built.
"Between May 2000 and August 2005, Brazil lost more than 132,000 square kilometers of forest—an area larger than Greece—and since 1970, over 600,000 square kilometers (232,000 square miles) of Amazon rainforest have been destroyed."

Sorry, couldn't resist. Everytime I asked people to reproduce responsibly, you started hysterically yakking about me wanting INFANTICIDE, GENOCIDE, HOMICIDE. Actually, I just want people to plan in advance on having the number of children they can raise responsibly.
You're all for individual responsibility, right?”

Do we all use oxygen tanks when the air is too polluted with excess CO2 because we didn't try to controll carbon emissions?”

“N27 was being facetious. He agrees with you.
I'm a feminist. I've always been appalled that girl children are less valued in countries like China and India.
The disaster in China is a direct result of the culture considering boy children "little princes" and little girls worthless.
I'm not talking about governments dictating family planning. I'm advocating INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY, which will be helped by wider education, in having only the number of children you can feed, educate, house, and care for and that the environment can handle.
Please stay on topic.”

“Don't you feel a little silly saying carbon dioxide in excess isn't a pollutant?
From the Free Dictionary (for Rush Limbaugh, who doesn't understand that too much carbon dioxide can be a bad thing):
"Carbon dioxide (CO2) narcosis, a condition of confusion, tremors, convulsions, and possible coma that may occur if blood levels of carbon dioxide increase to 70 mm Hg or higher. Individuals with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease can have CO2 narcosis without these symptoms because they develop a tolerance to elevated CO2. When ventilation is sufficient to maintain a normal oxygen partial pressure in the arteries, the carbon dioxide partial pressure is generally near 40 mm Hg. See also carbon dioxide poisoning."

So tell us, how much CO2 must be in the air that your scenario is a concern, and how much of that is already in the atmosphere?”

They learned from lead in gas (solved) , acid rain (solved), that it is a PROBLEM if the crisis subsides.”

Family planning, usually with the use of contraception, is just reproducing responsibly.
You have a problem with having children responsibly?”
