“Of course I believe in angels. I want to write a book about encounters with angels. I will give you an example. I was at work, the railroad, and I received a call from a passenger about upgrading to a sleeper. The passengers were seniors and during our conversation we were disconnected. So I attempted to call the passenger back using the phone number in the reservation. When the call was answered a woman was on the line, I told her who I was trying to reach and where I was calling from. To my surprise the lady said that she thought that I was calling to say that something had happened to her elderly parents on the train, because they had not heard from them in 3 days. I assured her that her parents were having a good time on the train and would arrive shortly. The woman told me that she and her family was just walking out of the church after praying that they would hear something from their parents. She said her cell phone rang and it was me. Now, I take over 500 calls a day, what is the chance that I would call someone that was praying for a call? I'm in California, they were in New York.”
“I don't believe Powell lied, I think he was out of the loop and the CIA gave him bad information which he delivered to the UN and the American People. I believe the last Administration's "frontman" said as much.
I think Powell was a good soldier who didn't know when to leave, he stayed too long. He probably thought that he could do more good in the administration and maybe change some minds, but as we all know it didn't work out that way.
I still have a lot of respect for him but NOT his Party (GOP)!”
“Powell did not lie. Do you know why CIA chief, Tenent sat behind the General during his address to the UN? look it up...better yet, watch "the dark side."”

“Powell knows he lied. I have personally asked him the question about Iraq, and he held nothing back. The difference is that Powell is trying to fix what he did and Cheney and Limbaugh are trying to justify what happened. There is a huge difference here. Anyone can make a mistake, but it takes a real man (or woman) to stand up, admit it and try to rectify. That is why Powell has such high approval.”
“Our Governor in California may be a Republican, but when in Cali you act like a Democrat. That's why we voted down all of his Props last Tuesday. He will get the message sooner or later.”

“California's governor doesn't act like a Democrat with respect to business or taxes. His policies are purely GOP conservative. He holds positions closer to Democrats with regards the environment and education because if he didn't he would have lost the last election. Arnold is finished. He terms out next year so whatever he does now is largely irrelevant. As long as one third of the legislature controls a veto on taxation and the budget, don't expect a resolution of the present woes any time soon. I expect the state to literally shut down. The crap is going to really hit the fan when the governor balances the state budget with money that has been going to local governments. Local governments should have been placed on their own footing in 1978. Instead, the state government rescued local governments after the ill conceived Proposition 13 was passed. That time is finished.”

“You might want to move soon. I calculate that since you and your friends refuse to pay your share of taxes that approximately 1/2 of your firemen, policemen, teachers and colleges are soon going to become history.
Enjoy all the money you have saved by not paying your taxes... move soon... take the loss on your home and have a nice day.”

“In the course of 4 years of the Bush admin, I went from paying 0 dollars to $200.00 a month for health insurance on my job.”

“Not only ithat but at one time long ago my medical bills WERE bundled. I guess everyone figured out they could make more money by unbundling our bills. Now they want to bundle them again to save money. Hmmm.
This is a desperate move by insurance companies and HMOs to stop single payer coverage. I hope to god it won't derail reform.”
“If Spector thinks that he can get elected as a Democrat., but act like a Republican, he's fooling himself. The only way to win in 2010, is to stand with the people who's votes he needs. The Democrats. He better start sounding like a Democrat if he wants to win. Saying, he won't be the 60Th vote, well that's not going to get him much.”

“Specter has been winning with Democratic voters since 1980. He'll manage fine without your advice.”
“I'm so proud I could cry. Thank You, Mr. President.”

“I am proud also....imagine a man who can walk and chew gum at the same time.........seriously, he is the antithesis of the past eight years, and a role model for our children. And the first presidential candidate i have found any real enthusiasm for. He makes me proud too......”
“Republicans have no ideas, just complaints. It's sad watching them whine on tv. What happened to their budget plan? They forgot that we were waiting. They didn't have one. They can't keep up with Obama. Obama is moving forward too fast for the Republicans. They can't handle it. They all look so confused on tv. It's so funny watching them. I just keep laughing at all of them.”
