“These men were not raped daily, impregnated, forced to have abortions, and beaten. The one guy said he didn't even mind staying! Yes this is horrible, and those women need to be punished for their crimes. But they were also not girls kidnapped at 14 away from their family's to be sex slaves in a dungeon. The other was a national story because those were missing teens that people have been looking for for years and years, and they were finally found.”

“Um no, this is not the reason at all and you shouldn't minimize the experiences of these men it has more to do with the fact that the victims are low-income black men and not middle class/rich white women.”
“This "article" is absolutely disgusting and was only posted for others to point and laugh. Extremely disappointed with HuffPost. Please take this down and and learn to have a little humanity.”

“If the article was supposed to report on what Sheriff Arpaio and his department are up to, it was only successful to a degree. Posting too many photos took away from that, apparently.
Arpaio is a egomaniacal bully, and other news outlets should be looking into this.”
“wow. way to jump to conclusions with absolutely NO evidence, there wasn't anything even close to a suggestion of alleged abuse in the article. people separate/get divorced all the time...just because a father wants his child does not mean there is anything wrong with him.
your mentality is exactly why innocent people used to be burned at the stake for being "witches".”
“i think the person who ordered these is a bit creepier than the one who made them. hopefully they are just weird and don't really has some fantasy about actually eating babies. .....but based off everything in the news lately I wouldn't be surprised if it was.”
“wow, lots of thanks to the mom. i think a huge tragedy was avoided. this was definitely one of those "preventable situations", and she took action instead of waiting until something bad actually happened.
it's hard not to think when you read this, "wow that could have been my walmart, i could have been there with my kids." very grateful this was prevented.”
“i wrestle all the time with my sisters 70lb american bulldog, if he actually wanted to hurt me i would be completely incapable of stopping him, as it is there's just about nothing i can do when he just wants to sit on me and wont move. i cant even imagine how strong a 140lb mastiff would be.
but also consider the stories like the family Pomeranian who mauled the baby to death, many small dogs are just as aggressive or more than their large breed cousins, it's just their small size that makes them more manageable. i have met an infinite number of small/med-small dogs that were aggressive and prone to bite, the list of aggressive large breed dogs i've encountered is small enough that i don't even need one hand to count them all. when selecting a breed you need to be aware of all behavior traits no matter what the size.
very sad story. i know this article is not the same, but the hardest ones for me to grasp are the stories where the long time family pet just "snapped" and killed someone, it really makes you think, wow could that ever be my dog? it makes me very conscientious about what dogs my children are around, no matter how much i trust them.”

“There's almost always signs that a dog is about to show adverse aggression there can also be medical reasons rabies, brain tumor and so on but don't let the media scare you into being afraid of dogs more people die every year from being struck by lightning, slipping in the shower and driving down the street the amount of deaths from dog attacks has stayed the same around 20 a year the media sensationalize and make it sound like there's a death everyday when it has stayed right around the same for over 25 yrs.”
“she is responsible as well and i hope she is convicted. apparently the natural instinct of being a mother and protecting your child at all costs skipped her. i doubt this was a one time incident either. she could have saved him just by leaving.”
“ugh i'm afraid of what we're all taking and doing these days that seems normal, but then 100 years from now we'll find out that it was actually something horrible and everyone will think "wow they were so stupid, why would anyone do that?". like that e-cigarettes are actually worse than real ones or something weird like that.”
“as an atheist pro-life woman & mother, it has to do with the fact that i think killing a baby is wrong. nor does it take in the rights of the father, or the baby itself. "its the womans body" so she gets to make the choice, but what about the baby whose life is being decided on? what about equal rights for unborn women? the for "equal rights for everyone" slogan is bull, we are so outraged that gay people can't get married, but we dont bat an eye at killing an unborn baby. i'm not saying there arent any exceptions(mothers at risk..etc) but adoption is ALWAYS an option. ive heard women say they dont want to "ruin" their body or let someone else raise "their baby" so they get an abortion. thats selfish.
why is it all-or-nothing? why can't we meet in the middle, banning all late term and partial birth abortions(which are so horrible i don't know how ANYONE can support it), but still allow 1st trimester abortions. it wont make everyone happy, but i think it would help. a lot of pro choice people dont even know late term or partial birth abortions still happen, or know what actually happens in a procedure
i know a lot of people will jump down my throat for my opinion, if you want to yell at me about how wrong i am, keep it civil. this is MY opinion and i know yours might be different.”
“"A temporary problem"? How the hell is having your child die a 'temporary' problem? What an insensitive and ignorant comment.
yeah she made a stupid decision, you should NEVER sleep with an infant after drinking, but the pain from that alone was probably more than enough without having the whole nation flinging mud at her.
i have no idea how i would react if i had to live every day knowing not only that my child died, but that i was the once who caused it. flames would probably seem like a welcome relief from the agony inside.”
“but YES, i do understand your point and see how it came off as petty. i don't walk down the street telling people they're ugly. i was just responding to the masses of other comments in which people were stating their opinion.”
“i'm not trying to decide what every man thinks is attractive, but you were. you said any guy who says that about a girl like 'that' obviously hasn't ever had a girlfriend. he doesn't think she's attractive, and personally neither do i. just letting you know he's not the only person who doesn't think she's gorgeous. i know a pretty girl when i see one and i'll be the first to say it, but not thinking someone is attractive doesn't mean you're petty or jealous (or have never had a girlfriend). but thanks for assuming so.”
Harbinger08 on Jul 10, 2012 at 15:22:31
“Nothing in the story ever said she was some kind of world class beauty. Any guy who goes out of his way to say nothing but that a normal looking girl is not attractive is saying more about himself than he is about her. The same goes for you.
As for the rest, Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I've seen plenty of pretty faces that cover an ugly heart.”
“....she is not attractive. cover the lower half of your screen and focus on the face. can you see it now?”
Harbinger08 on Jul 10, 2012 at 12:29:35
“I'm not saying she's a knockout. She's a decent looking girl, although one with problems. Besides, has anyone ever told you you don't get to decide what every man on the planet is supposed to find attractive? You seem kind of petty and jealous.”
