“Reduction in superfluous military funding does not necessarily mean reduction in the military manpower or necessary equipment & support.
Being stupid about what and how we spend things on and in the military is crucial, and most who have ever been in the military know this.
Being absolutely accountable for everything that makes up the military is paramount to force excellent bar none.
That includes the second most valuable resource: Fiscal competency.
Money - lots of it, or very little, doesn't matter for the point I wish to make - is a tool. A supply source. For every facet that makes up a Military.
Without Fiscal Competence, I don't care how many human resources are available, what types or how much equipment we do or don't have, if money is spent unwisely or incompetently, even the most well-equipped, well-manned military machine will fall into serious dysfunction. That ups the ante for disaster, and undermines intended victories.
The POTUS does not hate the military. It is imperative, especially now, that what $ we have as a resource and tool, cannot be wasted on stupid stuff.
If anything, the military needs to be grateful that there's a CIC who actually takes them as seriously as they should be.
If you are being one, please quit being an antagonistic, war-lovin'-self-serving, bottom-feeder.
If you aren't, and you just wrote something quickly (as sometimes I do, and should not), and I'm misunderstanding---sorry.
