“SENDING AMERICANS TO DIE....... ...FOR WHAT?
AT WHAT COST IN AMERICAN LIVES AND DOLLARS?
HOW MUCH MORE MUST AMERICANS SACRIFICE AT A TIME OF HISTORIC PERSONAL AND FINANCIAL LOSS AND HARDSHIP?
WHY IS OBAMA DOING EXACTLY WHAT GEORGE W. BUSH DID?
WHY DOES OBAMA CARE MORE ABOUT REPUBLICANS AND THE MILITARY THAN THE PEOPLE WHO GOT HIM ELECTED?
WHY? WHY? WHY?”

“President Obama is not doing "exactly what 'former President' Bush did".
Senator Obama campaigned on "capturing or killing Bin Laden" and "ending the war in Iraq.
No one likes war; no one wants to see anyone's family members go off to war; the only war this Country should have been involved in, out of the two we are presently in, is Afghanistan.
It is very unfortunate that many of our fellow Americans are going through the crises of being unemployed, underemployed, uninsured, and homeless. Our Country still must be protected from its enemies.”

“First, save the caps. Second, Iraq and Afghanistan started on the GOP's watch and allowed by both sides of the aisle and the protests against both were ignored by the media and the pundits.
I think most would agree that the purposed of going to war was to defeat Al Queda and to show that the USA meant "business", which included the juvenile tactics of Bush, Rumsfield, Cheney, Limbaugh, Hannity, et al pushing for the demise of "french" fries, spending lots of money for bush to declare the "mission accomplished" fiasco, on and on.
Which, common sense was to go into ONLY Afghanistan and to do behind the scenes of stopping the flow of money to these guys.
Which was to sensible for the bushies and their desire to go to "Iraq" and finish the "daddy" business. It all stinks.
So to blame President Obama is so unfair. When he campaigned, he never said he would pull out of Afghansitan right away, in fact, he spoke about perhaps going into Pakistan along the border. So, that's how it is, he was elected by the popular and electoral vote.
I think he needs our support and for all the naysayers who are wringing their hands, I say to you, get a grip, have some paitience cuz this mess took more than a year to be made and to expect President Obama to fix it all in less than 4 years is unrealistic. Get real.”

“When it's apparent that elitist Democrats are selling out the progressive Democrats who mobilized the grass roots and got Obama elected, why in the name of reason would progressive Democrats still believe that Obama and Senate Democrats give two shites about enacting legislation that would actually HELP middle and lower class Americans? Why? It's long past time for Senate Democrats to stand up and be counted. They have shown their true colors. They have surrendered their allegiance to the masters of corporatism and forsaken the vast majority of American citizens. They deserve only our antipathy! They are worse than the Republicans because they have betrayed what it means to be a Democrat.. ....THE PEOPLE.”

He must focus his anger upon those very few who have really sold out to line their pockets. Shall we list them for him once again? They are: Joey Boy Lieberman, Blanche, Mary, and Ben Nelson. These are the culprits, and we'll never forget it. They are forcing the dilutions and concessions and the need to compromise with the lady Republican ( Snowe ) from maine who is as bad as they are. Reconciliation is the only answer to a real health insurance reform law. Let's do it now and reverse the dilution and the Stupack blackmailers.”

“CAUGHT BETWEEN THE DEVIL AND THE DEEP BLUE SEA
In order to gain the political power they've enjoyed for decades, Republican moderates and fiscal conservatives made a pact with the devil (faux Christians, bigots, racists, sexists and misanthropes) to achieve the numbers they needed to defeat Democrats. They made a strategic decision to manipulate and exploit the ignorance, fears and hatreds of dysfunctional and vulnerable voters in order to win elections rather than lose them by being intellectually and morally honest.
Today, those who conspired with the devil are caught between wanting to disassociate themselves with and or casting out the demons they empowered and the karmic reality that they don't have the numbers to hold on to or regain power without continuing to accept and "advocate" the immoral values, hypocrisies and corruptions that are dividing and destroying their party.
The survival of today's shrinking Republican Party has become so dependent on extremism that they have no significant power left WITH or WITHOUT the support of America's increasingly pernicious lunatic fringe.
The idiom "caught between the devil and the deep blue sea" is certainly appropriate as Republicans are facing the dilemma of choosing between two equally undesirable alternatives that both result in Republican impotence in mainstream American politics. They are suffering the consequences of their treachery.
Their irresponsible propping up of George W. Bush cost them their credibility, and the inflammatory insanities of mercenary GOP opportunists like Palin, Beck, Limbaugh, Hannity and O’Reilly are costing them their viability.”

“TODAY’S REPUBLICANS ARE AMERICA'S ENEMY WITHIN
Republicans ARE practicing seditious DEMAGOGUERY and anti-democracy OBSTRUCTIONISM intended to destabilize our economy for purposes of political exploitation.
Republicans AREN'T making a sincere effort to STOP the bleeding THEIR incompetent leadership and failed policies created. Instead, they're using inflammatory lies and accusations as a smokescreen to conceal their subversive agenda, which is to cause President Obama and America to fail so they can blame Democrats for the consequences of THEIR calamitous mismanagement.
Republicans ARE preposterously professing that THEIR disgraceful political WHORING had nothing to do with the banking, real estate, stock market and employment catastrophes that resulted.
Republicans ARE trying to hamstring Democrats to prevent them from repairing the damage caused during a Republican presidency that was irresponsibly enabled by Republican Senators and Representatives.
Republicans ARE offering ridiculous arguments meant solely to disrupt and prevent progressive change. They'd rather divide America and create political gridlock than endure the political consequences of effective Democratic governance.
Republicans AREN'T the LOYAL OPPOSITION; they ARE the ENEMY WITHIN whose mercenary personal priorities have eroded their moral and ethical standards to the point that duplicity and betrayal are their preferred modus operandi.
It's one thing to advocate their conservative beliefs; it's another thing entirely to willfully sabotage America's government because a successful Democratic presidency would not be vulnerable to the greed, fears and hatreds that have produced and sustained the radical Republican anti-government corporatism and anti-Christian faux theocracies that are poisoning and crippling American society.”

However you are missing an important factor here: The American stupidity factor.
"Never underestimate the stupidity of the American public." -- Scott Adams.
About one third of the American public are die-hard Republicans. One third are consistent Democrats. The other third will pretty much go which ever way the wind blows. These are people who will vote for George W. Bush one year, then vote for Barack Obama the next. These are the "Reagan Democrats. " These are the undecided voters that so much effort and money is used to reach before each election.
The way to convince these people of your point-of-view is by making attack ads or by simply repeating lies and half-truths through television and radio. Eventually you can manipulate them into voting the way you want them to. Karl Rove was a master of this.
These are the people the Republicans are hoping to woo back into their fold. And, they just might succeed at doing it too.”

Republicans ARE trying to hamstring Democrats to prevent them from repairing the damage caused during a Republican presidency that was irresponsibly enabled by Republican Senators and Representatives.

The only ones who saw the whole truth to this stupidity was Ross Perot and a few others who saw this REALLY meant the end of manufacturing in this country and the shipping of MILLIONS of jobs overseas.

GOP Election Victories Won't Erase Party's Problems

Harry Reid: AMA Misled Me, Means Health Care Setback
Commented Oct 22, 2009 at 07:59:01 in Politics
“Harry Reid is a CAREER POLITICIAN. We need to get rid of ALL career politicians on both sides of the aisle IF we want to accomplish GENUINE PROGRESSIVE CHANGE. We need more people like Alan Grayson and Al Franken in the House and Senate. People whose careers DEPEND on the campaign contributions of LARGE business institutions will ALWAYS BE THEIR SERVANTS!!!!!!!!”
Solja replied on Oct 22, 2009 at 09:03:03
“Sorry, but all career-politicians are not bad. Pelosi has more backbone than most in the House and all in the Senate, and she's a "career politician". Try the career Republican politicians. Those are the most worthless ones in Congress.
Harry Reid is not appearing to be too effective, but that's only because the media is telling us this. We don't really know what he's doing. Don't get me wrong. He looks weak and ineffective to me also, but the media is still telling us this about him.”
