“Its not global warming, its called climate change. Get with the times!”
SCJohnson on May 21, 2014 at 07:58:44
“The two terms have been in the scientific lexicon for decades because they both describe different things. Emissions of greenhouse gasses, primarily CO2, create global warming which in turn creates chaotic climate change.”
“And how many of those who signed up actually have paid a dime into the system? You don't hear about that do you! Hmmm”
NoWayMan on May 6, 2014 at 00:19:46
“according to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services between 80% - 90% have paid.
which echoes what insurance companies have said (80-90%)
but I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that you're still not convinced.”
Brak55 on May 5, 2014 at 23:57:15
“Most insurance companies have reported between 80 and 90% have paid and that's about the most reliable information you are going to get. The government is not part of that process, so they wouldn't have the data.”
dispagi on May 5, 2014 at 23:57:09
“The reports are that 80% or more have paid, which isn't surprising. Would you go through the whole process and not pay?”
suede on May 5, 2014 at 23:45:35
“The system being paid are private insurance companies and they have not yet released the figures otherwise we would have definitely hear about it by now. And the hearing about it are only anonymous sources from insurance companies and responsible journalists will not report on this yet. That's right even Fox news journalists have insiders at insurance companies and they can't even put out a leaked news story that the payments look dismal or worrisome because that will be discredited when hard data comes out. It;s funny watching you guys hold your breath for the next goal post you create. He'll never sign up 7 million. Then, there will never be enough young people in the pool...and now it's but how many people paid. What is the next signpost when you hear something like 95% of people paid?”
“Its not a conspiracy, google warn buffet and the rail system he owns. His trains are hauling oil. No conspiracy!! He is the richest Dem out there! By the way there have been 2-4 of these derailments with oil since the first of the year. Do you not think that has a major effect on the environment. How many pipe lines have broken with oil and fire in the last year?? And they (Dem's) are not stopping the trains are they, those caring Dem's who are so about the environment. You can lead Bee's with honey and Fools with foolishness!”
“Don't forget that Warren Buffet owns these railways. He is making money off of the oil being transported by his rail system. And you wonder why the Dem's don't want to buil a pipeline to transport the oil.”
veloci1 on May 1, 2014 at 14:10:20
Buffet owns Burlington Northern, not CSX.”
Je78 on May 1, 2014 at 09:47:43
“you really*think that the democrats are more worried about protecting a billionaire than the environment???
not everything is a conspiracy theory and only the republicans are more willing to give up the safety of others to protect "their" billionaires.”
CamelPaw357 on May 1, 2014 at 07:28:55
“This is a fact not reported in the main stream media. Reason: It would cast a bad light over close friends and operatives of the president.”
“Gays are not all exactly the same. Their sexuality controls their whole world where straights its not that reality. To force kids into a world that is not them, is a whole different story!”
unimatrix0 on Apr 27, 2014 at 23:26:26
“No. You only think about gays in terms of sex, so you that is all there is to them. I can assure that I have much more in common with you than what I do not. I eat 3 meals a day, have brothers and a sister, parents, go to bingo, shop, watch way too much TV, and play video games.
What I do for about 30min once a week is probably different than you, but everything is pretty much the same. And like going to bathroom, since I do it in private it really is no one else's business except mine.
I know some straight parents who party with their kids (because they want to be the "coolest" parents), other who find their children's friends very attractive (high school and college), and some that are just belittling and mean to their kids.
Selfish people should not parent IMO, but that does not mean all gay parents are that way. Like I said I am sure there are some who fit your description, but in the grand scheme of life millions of children have drawn the short straw when it comes to parents (and always will).”
“Its normal for the left to never take responsibility for their actions and then play the victim card over and over. The blame is always someone on someone else, not the person who could have used the crosswalk like it was designed to. Its like a car running a stop sign, and the person said they didn't stop because there was no car. Its the LAW!!”
“Yes really. There have been three (3) pedestrians hit by cars in Austin and one on the university grounds since this happen!!! Apparently this is a problem, would you not agree? Why do you think that the Law of jaywalking exist?”
“Once again, did you not pay attention to the story? She refused to provide ID, it can be verbal as well as a state issued id. Hello.. Know the law!! When you refuse to cooperate its no your legal right.”
cynicalolelady on Feb 24, 2014 at 05:20:48
“Yes, I read the story. I also know no proof was provided. I don't necessarily believe everything someone says to get out of trouble.”
“What assault are you talking about?? She didn't stop, then she refused to cooperate with showing or ID. They then can not write a ticket and then puts you in that state of being arrested. Hello... What part do you not get, she broke the law, if she did the same thing driving a car it would be the same result. If she got hit buy a bus, I bet you would blame the
“I don't get the part where 4 police officers chase after a young female jogger with earbuds in her ears for running across an empty street against the light. As for responsibility... she has a responsibility to herself to be careful and look both ways before she crosses the street. Since she got to the other side safely, I'm assuming all conditions were conducive to running across the street.”
“Is she a friend of hers? How do you know she is not the type to scream? Maybe she was high or on drugs. She ran out in the middle of the street, that could have been a car that got her instead of the cops!! Hello....”
“Since this incident, there have been 3 pedestrians hit by cars in Austin. So someone needs to be held accountable and that would be the jaywalker. What part do some of you not get that jaywalking is illegal and you will get a ticket. Its that way in most states! If she didn't hear or see the cops, then she would not hear the horn of the car that could have hit her. Then she would blame everyone else for her getting hurt. She is responsible for everything that happen to her. Looks like she was on drugs the way she was reacting!”

“You failed to mention how many of those were jaywalkers, how many were killed by drunk drivers or people on dope, people driving against a one-way street. Convenient. I won't take your word on that.”
“Where in the video is there violence? She resisted them, by law the cops have a right to stop you if you break the law. If you resist and don't cooperate you are responsible for the outcome.”
wolfen06 on Feb 23, 2014 at 06:56:46
“Really? for Jay Walking? With all the problems you have in Texas, this is truly embarrassing.”
apsrmusic on Feb 23, 2014 at 05:45:45
“smooch smooch smooch! does those boots taste good down there? I'd be responsible alright! Id sue their PD for police brutality and in it I'd ask for Big Chief to be fired! "she got down on the ground all on her own" BS!”
dethburger on Feb 22, 2014 at 23:43:42
“Thats what the cops say but if history is any indication I'm not trusting the police.
They lie far too often.”
TheyCallMeLtKelso on Feb 22, 2014 at 18:38:33
“Jaywalking. You support violent arrest and incarceration for JAYWALKING.
The republican party just keeps getting more and more ridiculous.
Eileen Gindin Spiegel on Feb 22, 2014 at 15:07:57
“If she truely didn't hear them call her, then I don't see a reason for the Resisting Arrest charge.”
“Or you have one who thinks they are above the law and doesn't have to do what they ask or show id. This is a country of laws to protect all of us! Nothing Gestapo about that!”
RP775 on Feb 22, 2014 at 15:37:54
“Ask the ACLU about what you consider a law and what they consider a law. The story says she ignored stop signals , the Cops say she ignored their commands to stop. Bad writting or Cops who didn't get their stories straight?”
