'The Blacklist': Red Saves Keen From A Fixer Named 'The Stewmaker' (VIDEO)

'The Blacklist': Red Saves Keen From A Fixer Named 'The Stewmaker' (VIDEO)

Commented Oct 16, 2013 at 20:43:29 in TV

“I have amassed too many wacky theories about the hidden plot of this show. Everything from Liz being a lab experiment to Red being possessed by the mind of her criminal father. Here's one that seem a little more grounded...I don't believe Red cares for Liz. He may even hate and despise her. But, he seems somehow compelled to keep her out of harm's way while thrusting her into the spotlight. It could be a vengeance ploy based on dealings with her criminal father, in that he'd work hard to gain her trust, then pull the rug out from under her at the time of his choosing, or based on personal retribution to right the wrongs of his past. I also thought the Apple Man (from episode three) could be Liz's father. Who knows what lurks in the minds of the show runners.”

LindaFig on Oct 20, 2013 at 01:54:24

“Ok Para - here's my theory. When Reddington disappeared 20 years ago, he went on a special assignment sanctioned by the Government only he had to become a criminal in order to get his "Blacklist" together. After this week's episode, I'm wondering if the Stewmaker killed his wife or daughter, thus his quest to get the bad guys at any cost. He has to remain on the outside as a criminal but he has surfaced now to take care of his list. His connection to Liz? I have to admit I haven't figured it out yet but I'm working on it. They should give her a sharper brain though. She seems too naive for the type of character she's playing.”

“Thank you. I'd written a retort earlier to Snidelyprof's comment, but it was censored. Guess I went a bit overboard in my umbrage to his comments to others in this thread. He is Quintessential Negativity Personified.”

“I think everyone is negative at one point or another. Some more than others. I've always tried to look past the negativity and look at the person. Usually I find that they are not bad people just have a different outlook on things is all. There is good in everyone we just have to choose to see it.
Sometimes I find that those who are always on and happy go lucky, are just doing a better job of masking the negativity that resides in us all. If you look for the good in people you can find it.”

No one likes to be rejected. She's extremely angry, but hopefully she'll be able to rein in her ego and move forward.”

“I had a legal issue to attend to once. I sat in the courtroom awaiting my case to be called. Along side all the other claimants/respondents were their attorneys. I sat alone, waiting for my attorney to join me for last minute prep (plus moral support). After nearly an hour, I started to nervously look around for her. Then I saw her - sitting in the last row of benches, TEXTING! She was smiling and snickering and having a grand ol' time. I was so not happy with her, and refuse to use her services again, even though I won my case. There's a time and place for these Smartphones. The devices may be "smart", but their users can be royal dumbbells!”

“Does the illustrator of the slideshow on the many scenarios of the apocalypse have something against Manhattan? It depicts the city being frozen, flash fried, buried, drowned, and a bullseye for meteors and asteroids. Then again, life can be tough in this city, so I reckon imagining its brutal destruction again and again and again could be somewhat cathartic.”

Where were you on September 11th?

Commented Sep 11, 2013 at 16:53:01 in AOL

“A family member called me in a panic and told me. I'd just gotten out of the shower after the first plane hit. I turned on the radio news and listened in disbelief as I heard the destruction in the background. The anchorman's voice was trembling and the reporters at the scene were nearly hysterical. I called a friend of mine who was working in midtown. I told him I'd meet him for lunch. I threw on this gawd awful outfit that looked like I was wearing powder blue overalls and ran out the door. I walked against the throngs of confused people who escaped the subways for a day of work that never happened. When I got to Fifth Avenue, I could see the debris clouds blow eastward toward Brooklyn, leaving nothing but empty space and blue sky behind. I recall every detail of the day and night of 9/11, but there's simply not enough room in this post to continue.”

Always gonna be an uphill battle, Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose
Ain't about how fast I get there, Ain't about what's waitin' on the other side
It's The Climb."

He's an honest, unpretentious stand-up guy with a loyal following and a good record of service. I just don't trust Spitzer. He's impulsive, unpredictable, and has a lot of personal/professional baggage. How often does someone have to keep apologizing for their actions? In Spitzer's case, TOO often. I believe he's unfit for public office.”

Since I like the Haas' smaller size, creamy texture and nutty flavor, I don't bury them under a mountain of dressing or seasonings. A perfect avo sammie for me is stuffed into an Everything Slim or Challah roll, with black olives, shallots or sweet onion, tomatoes, basil, lime juice, black pepper and a pinch of salt. I'll get four lunches out of the sack, so it's a money saver too.”

“Ditto. I can't believe Spitzer's so far ahead. Scott Stringer is very well respected among his constituents, for which I am one. There's zero threat of scandal with him, and I can safely say that's not gonna be the case with Spitzer. Totally illogical!”

“Not really. Scott Stringer doesn't have any skeletons in the closet, but he doesn't have anything in the attic either. Eliminate the 'threat of scandal' from the second sentence and I will agree with you. Springer is a zero. Elliot Spitzer is clearly the brighter of the two, and the polls correlate closely with the IQ gap between Spitzer and Stringer.”
