Fair enough, be he's a rock star, not a politician.”

My Rockin' Night with Bret Michaels

Commented Apr 28, 2010 at 08:41:03 in Entertainment

“Mara -
Thanks for sharing your G-rated run-in with a rockstar. I've always had pretty bad taste in music, overrun with 80's bands, but at least I can take confidence in the character of my rock star idols. Your words paint the picture of a humble, likable, and genuine good guy. Thank you for that, and I'm no longer ashamed to own up to my long adoration of Bret.”

“Your point is true - I failed to respond with regard to the original post/article. I happen to fully agree with him and left it for others to decide. And you're right again, I do seem very judgmental in my remarks. If I knew better how to convey exasperated or saddened, I would. Instead, I was trying to determine exactly what had gone so horribly awry since Adam's original post. What I began to see was everyone's issues and pet causes being protected and defended and blamed. That's what blurred the big picture for me, until I could finally see.”

“While I think Adam did a great job of taking the wind (and points) away from those too overwhelmed to be bothered with frank or engaging discussions, and points on for finding a way to make it a drinking game, it seems the posts that follow his brave and clever input all get caught up in their own myopic biases. That's America today. "Defend the guns. Against the guns. What about art? Clinton was no hero." With so many handy labels ready paste on someone's opinion to dismiss them, none of us actually hear and respond to what's been said. We all jump in with our own thoughts and agendas. We've been taught that sort of thinking, because we all watch TV, owned by myopic big corporations with light bulbs to sell. Now everybody's got their own brand of bulbs to sell on the Huffpost site.”

“Call me whatever...but I could not follow your post”

“Wait. You didn't respond to what was said in the article either. You're too busy passing judgement.”

Santelli, Sen. Kyl Push Back Against "Outrage" Over AIG Bonuses [UPDATE]

Commented Mar 17, 2009 at 21:09:19 in Politics

“I agree with TeMoinPennsylvania. Not a Santonelli fan myself either, abhor his antics for the camera on Wall Street trading floor, but his logic and reasoning is sturdy and true. Seems that the bigger (with a "B") issue is that our government handed over billions (again, with a "B") billions of dollars with no restrictions, sanctions or subset of compliance. Our government pushed loads of money at them, in theory, to keep our weak economy from further crumbling. In doing so, we asked nothing of AIG. And now we can all see how haste makes waste and what it leads to. I assume it was an issue of time and need for haste that prevented any obvious requests of AIG. In any case, there is no excuse. How will we protect our unwilling investments in the future?http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/03/17/santelli-sen-kyl-push-bac_n_175691.html#”
