“I recorded you on CNN this morning and have watched that portion a couple of times. You were great! Once again, you have increased my pride for being Liberal Democrat. Thank you for speaking truth to power. I am a huge supporter of our president, but this was just plain wrong! There should be a thorough investigation into what happened on that horrible day eight years ago on the 11Th. Because of the comma after "Citizen of the United States" the phrase "at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution" MODIFIES BOTH CLAUSES! That means both natural born citizens AND a Citizen of the United States MUST have been citizens at the time of the adoption.
So, do we REALLY want a strict interpretation of the Constitution? There's even a spelling error. (the Time of chusing the Electors..
