“I took what he was saying as a point of scientific fact, because it is. This is not an opinion, this has been proven. And before you take the wrong thing from what i'm saying I am married- have been for 13 years- and I don't cheat. I do recognize however that we are pressured through dominant social standards- presented within religion- to live a certain way. As a point of fact there are only a few species who are actually wired to be monogamous- a couple of birds, a monkey or two, a wolf, and something else. Our natural programmed instinct is not to be monogamous. The same way we are naturally programmed to procreate interracially. Humans evolve into a stronger species when they do so… it's only a social tabu- for a white woman to be attracted and want to procreate with a black man, or vice versa. Same social conditioning. Scientifically Ethan is spot on.”
“Why not just shoot it... With a camera. Preservation for all. This is the type of news that really makes me glad I don't have children. One less black Rhino in the gene pool diminishes the genetic diversity of an already endangered species. Really? What is wrong with mankind that we must kill to extinction? That is not the natural balance of life. Disgusted...again.”
“And once again the myopic view of the pro-religious group disregards the "freedom for all" of the Constitiution. Can't get off that horse of "killing babies" when what Roe v Wade protects is a woman's right to choose, can you? So, you have identified yourself as one of those who must control everyone and everything. With such a closed mind further discourse is futile. Rave on, as I'm sure you will, but logic is lacking in your argument so do not look for a response from me... I have grown bored and weary from the likes of you. ”
“Isn't the antics of the Repubs attempts to defund the ACA a violation of the Constitution since it (the ACA) is also a law on the books currently?”
blahbleh on Oct 3, 2013 at 22:50:44
“Yes. The law would have to be repealed by a 2/3 vote. Never going to happen. They are counting on public ignorance.
And it's a toddler tantrum because the ACA vote, and the Supreme Court decision regarding (made by a republican majority court) did not go their way. A tantrum where hundreds of thousands of people lose their paycheck...but they get to keep theirs. Unbelievable.”
“The ACA is a LAW. Just because the Repubs don't agree with it does NOT give them the right to incinerate the entire workings of the government. Just like Roe v Wade, the Repubs will manipulate, maneuver and massacre everything and everyone that gets in the way. Through disinformation and out right lies they have led the less informed American people to think that this is a bad law. .... When it is just now going into effect. The bad law is the one where CONGRESS continues to receive their paycheck in spite of their ineptitude.”

“Funny you speak of massacre and you're willing to kill babies! PATHETIC! ACA a law the democrates did an end around to pass! With the technology today, if Roe v Wade were to go to court, it would be over turned. When it was passed the judges had no way to see a picture of a fetus at six weeks, with fingers and toes, and know they feel pain. They were told it was just a blob. Now it's your turn to call me names. Thats all the arguement liberals seem to have these days!”
“If the federal government shuts down stopping all salary payments to federal employees, let's start with all of Congress. They should feel the pain of their inability to govern responsibly. They should be the first to be furloughed....or fired. Hmmm, let's impeach Congress.”
“You, Congress, agreed to the expenditures and now you have to follow through. This is about money ALREADY spent. The credit card bill is due. Sounds to me that you want to be one of individuals that don't follow through on your promises.
Fire the lot of them. I am so tired of this bovine excrement!”
“"We're going to continue to do everything we can to repeal the president's failed health care law," Boehner said
It hasn't even been fully implemented yet. Shut down the Government. Give Congress their pick slips for poor job performance and let's get some adults in there that are willing to work together and solve problems. There is way too much fertilizer being spread around.”
“STOP THE MADNESS!!! We are no longer in the position to police the world.”

“As reported by ABC's Colleen Curry, U.S. intervention might lead to a much larger chain reaction in the Middle East, possibly involving Syrian allies like Hezbollah and Iran. In a more dire situation, Syria could even launch attacks on Israel, a strong U.S. ally.
"When you do a military strike it often has ramifications you don't anticipate," said Dan Byman, a senior fellow of foreign policy at Brookings Institute.”

“You know... Instead of all that...let's be sure to send a message. ANYONE COMMITTING MURDER WILL BE TRIED AS AN ADULT REGARDLESS OF AGE. AS WILL THE ACCESSORIES TO THE CRIME. Stop acting like these kids don't know any better. They know, they just don't value someone else's life. Maybe if they realize they are placing theirs on the line they might think twice.”
“What is WRONG with you people. Why are there so many misogynists out there? Seriously, these are babies, they haven't even awakened to their sexually. Why do these men fear women so much that they feel the need to treat the tender ones so cruelly?”

“Rape is a global epidemic. India ranks well below most other countries in rapes per capita. Check the stats at the wikipedia.”
“"It's always a healthy thing when people come out to voice their concerns, even if I don't agree with them on every issue," McHenry told King in a separate interview after King noted Asheville is a liberal area.
But isn't it the people's opinion/wishes you are supposed to represent and support, not your own?”
gon4gd on Aug 9, 2013 at 10:22:59
“What a gratuitous, empty comment on the part of McHenry, a political charlatan.”
“Therein lies the rub...the Dems are as bad as the Repubs...and as the good Senator says "what matters is the public doesn't trust the politicians..." Ya think?! Maybe it is because we can never get a straight answer from a simple question.”
“"There never will be a risk-free gas industry in Pennsylvania, just like there never will be risk-free driving a car," he said.
When we get behind the wheel we accept those risks. When an accident happens we are held accountable. The Gas and Oil industries laugh all the way to the bank...impervious to the far reaching destruction they have wrought. Instead, working the political machine to suppress the vocal " environmentalists" who feel it is a right to have clean air and drinking water (I mean really, how demanding can you get?)
How are we supposed to trust an industry when one of the compatriot's ,BP, just admitted to destroying evidence that would show how culpable they were in the Gulf spill? A once pristine area now turned to a liquid wasteland?
Alternate energy sources, such as solar, will never be fully developed because it is not lucrative enough for the Industry.
Yeah, it's like driving a car, and the world's population is in the back seat as it goes off the cliff.”

“I'm not quite as pessimistic as you. I do think residential solar will be commonly used. I will be moving in the next few years and I expect to put up panels. I don't want to be off the grid but I do want to be 'grid friendly'. I will put up about 2KW which would more than cover my house under normal daily use. There's no way I could afford the panels or batteries when I fire up my 3HP table saw so I won't even try. I will use the panels for the base load and the grid for the woodshop and clothes dryer and other transient loads.
I talked with a lobbyist for the power industry and he said that they like solar. He thought my plan would be ideal. Hot sunny days are the worst for the grid and that's when the residential solar would be producing the most.”
“Sounds like Trayvon was just asking for it, just the way he was dressed and acting the way he was. Just like all the women that get raped ... If they had behaved and dressed the way the conservatives think they should then they wouldn't get raped...just asking for it. Hmm, still think that we are just all " asking" to be treated fairly and with a little respect and kindness. Still...baffles the mind. Thankful I have no children to bequeath to this world.”
