“This is true. Has "I feel awkward with all this attention" young movie star. No comment on the acting. The first movie made Bella out to be a boring "has little to no life" girl who has a clash with the supernatural when she moves back in with her Dad.
She's nice, lovely, unassuming, aloof.
But as far as heroines go, kind of a yawner. I haven't read the book so its highly possible there's more there. But this movie heroine doesn't motivate me to want to read the book. So this book series isn't on my Bucket List.
If I were 15, I am sure I would gobble it up like pizza at a slumber party.”

“One thing $cn has in common with many other cults is a unique, nigh-incom prehensibl e vocabulary and lingo; making up new words and syntax, giving old words new and warped meanings. The further you get pulled in, the worse it gets. Reshaping your victim's entire frame of reference to the outside world (and their own mind, for that matter) is a powerful method of control, and many who manage to escape the inner working$ report years of adjustment before they stop speaking and thinking in $cn-ish. There's a bunch of fairly fascinating literature about this on the various anti-$ sites.

Yes, I know that's an unfair logical leap, but so is demanding the "harshest" of penalties for non-murder crimes. Also not legal by US Supreme Court ruling.”

David Shuster Flatly Denies Bald Spot Meltdown: "A Complete And Utter Fabrication"
Commented Jul 29, 2009 at 12:31:50 in Media
“Though of course I should add that in THIS case, the media isn't giving false credence, and Pierce was actually there to talk about how stupid "birthers" are, not to make it look like a real question or to recount the older sins of the Idiot Media for an Idiot America, so Shuster was somewhat right to flip on him. But his larger point was correct, if trickster-ish.”

“I like Shuster in general, forgiving the occasional prompter-tripping, but he sure did flip out when Charles Pierce went off script in the last segment the other night on the "birthers. " And Pierce was right, covering the "birthers" in any way other than outright mockery due to total lack of rational thinking or facts does lend them whatever small bit of credence.
Someone on another blog said Maddow covering C Street is similar, which is totally wrong, as she is highly critical of them and doesn't provide a forum for justification of what is basically an attempt to shoehorn a particularly totalitarian flavor of Christianity into the Congress.”

“Yes, it does mean that. When a claim has absolutely no merit on its face, covering it in any way other than as a tidbit of seriously dubious origin and intent is legitimizing it. A good start would have been "President Obama presented a certified birth certificate from an American state months ago during the election, and no substantive proof has ever been offered to the contrary. That being said..."

“...because it's not an industry where hard work and talent are the exclusive routes of entry? There's also physical appeal, luck, connections, family history and of course the casting couch. Just because it's hard to break big in acting doesn't make acting itself "hard." Sometimes, sure, but not always, and not every A-list actor is Meryl Freaking Streep. A lot of them are pretty-looking hacks.

Revenue-Hungry States Are Raising Taxes on Their Wealthiest Residents

“And, respectfully submitted, that is insane. Taking 40% from someone who makes $20K turns them into a homeless person, while taking 40% from a $2M earner turns them into slightly less of a millionaire. Conversely, 15% of $20K is borderline palatable, while 15% of $2M is a laughable pittance, what I would consider to be "lucky" if I were making that amount, and certainly not sufficient to make me proud that I was paying my way in the society that let me make that money. Much less, heaven forbid, that I was doing something to make society better.”

“Yes I live in a state that has not as bad of a tax rate as other states...n ot that there haven't been elected officials from both sides trying to correct that. Fortunatly we have a a law called the TABOR act. this law allows tax increases to be voted on by the people of the state. and using our consititution right have voted down many of their bloated gov't ideas. not to say that they didn't get a few through. Colorado unemployment has just gone up to 7.2 %. That is high for us but low in comparrison of the national average. Why? we still have quite a lot of growth going on-lots of new buisness from California age coming to Colorado-and they are welcome but please leave you failed policies back in California.
as to what taxes I'm in favor of cutting... bring a lot of the entitlement programs down to a realistic policy-the young man in the bus should have been working for a long time-my kids have and they are the same age as that idiot.
