“Because he duped his fans and supporters, set himself up as a role model, not perfect, but defining himself, or allowing himself to be defined, as a person committed to his sport, his family; espousing publicly, certain "values;" then he cashed in on that (apparently) totally bogus personna to the tune of a billion dollars.

It was not Tiger's incredible golf acumen alone, his unparalleled talent on the greens, that garnered him fame and fortune; it was as much his "image." Having said that, it never, ever fails to astound me how men in positions of power think they can get away with such behavior; not be "found out;" why they would risk their repuations, their legacies, their jobs; the respect of their wives, families and friends for a roll in the hay. This wasn't even some great love story; this was hot s / ex with relative strangers, on the side. It's the height of arrogance, and I see it every single day in my profession, i.e., the woman involved will keep her mouth shut, and if the truth comes out, no one will believe it. If you have such a need, don't get married, it's THAT EASY; don't think you can have it both, all ways...the home and dutiful wife, the kids and image of the perfect family, and "the other." Be a man and make a choice.”
