“Don't be too hasty........President Obama told us that it would take alot of pressure from America's Citizens for real change to take place in this country. We will have to continue to stick together on this issue and make sure our state reps know that we won't back down. If they want to continue to keep their seat at the table then they should begin to listen to the needs of the people who elect them. Hold these folks accountable state by state...seat by seat! WE THE PEOPLE...must do this!”

“I think the lady has a point. BIG Business continues to treat American Citizens as though we have no choice in what they decide to do to us. There is nothing wrong with demanding a reasonable rate.....especially when you ARE paying your bills. Hiking someones rate just makes it harder for them to pay. I just got a rate hike notice in the mail and I plan to pay it off and return their card with a polite NO THANK YOU I choose not to be RAPED by your company for the privilige of patronizing your establishment. It is in MY BEST INTEREST to try to get the best VALUE for MY HARD EARNED DOLLAR. I will do business with those who RESPECT my dollar and the SWEAT I used to earn it. If we just sit there and continue to take it on the chin when and where will it stop? Wall Street? I DON'T THINK SO!”

“What's left to know about her? She lies, she is willing to cheat, and she quits when the going gets tough or when it is clear that she won't win. I will not purchase anything she writes, and I will not purchase any book bearing her name because I will not contribute to the idea of her "selling power."
Like many I just wish her to fade away.....but I get that she is very hard to simply ignore. What with pregnant daughter baby momma drama, ex-boyfriends going nude, raging law suits, quitting jobs.....crack busts and jail time. Kinda makes running for VP and losing seem like a fantasy nightmare...oh wait that happened to her too!”

“Why do these people hate America and her citizens so much? You would think that a civilized nation would welcome the opportunity to make a great nation even better by doing better toward the citizens that pay to keep it afloat. Happy, healthy people paying lots of taxes for longer period of time = everybody wins kinda thinking. But it seems the math has been equated differently. US citizens(trapped by the machine of corporate greed) can be extracted from without receiving = benefit + corporations derive greater wealth for themselves. Examine CURRENT birthrate, ADD number of people between 18-35 years old who will likely reproduce in the near future.... TOTAL makes everyone else forever EXPENDABLE.

Peter King On Calling Michael Jackson A "Child Molester": I Said What "Millions Of Americans Really Felt" (VIDEO)
Commented Jul 12, 2009 at 22:48:40 in Politics
“I am so very happy that I spent so much time and energy working for Obama during his campaign because I have learned how to work for or against a candidate seeking public office. I am deeply offended by Mr. Kings statements and his lack of sensitivity toward the millions of Jackson fans who are mourning his sudden death and loss. Mr. King and other public servants must show that they are part of the solution ....and not part of the problem. Mr. King must go!”

That is left up to God. Do you believe in God? MSNBC Takes Michele Bachmann's "Youth Re-Education Camp" Seriously
Commented Apr 07, 2009 at 16:47:28 in Politics
“Foe some time now it has been the policy of MSM to steer clear of acknowledging crazy when they see it. This was particularily true during the last eight years when you not only had to refrain...but were often called upon and forced to defend crazy in the name of patriotism and 9/11. I think the very fact that we are strating to appropriately use the term again is a very good sign. It means that we are on the road to sanity and common sense again. Someone should try to warn Bachman and Sarah Palin that crazy time is over....but most likely they won't be able to comprehend.”

“Yes, I would agree that David Gregory was a poor choice for MTP.....but in truth NO ONE could ever really replace Tim Russert. Maybe things would have gone better with Brian Williams or even Mike Barnacle. Gregory has all of his talking points down cold but comes off like a deer caught in headlights. Tim Russert was a master at coaxing the truth out of folks who simply did not want to go down that road but knew if they were on MTP truth was going to be exposed. With Tim, it was not so much "Gotcha" but more of a "There you go" getting down to the real with dignity.”
Felipe Sixto, Bush Aide, Gets Thirty Months In Jail

“A small fish, yes....but we must start somewhere. Like most Americans I have worked hard, stayed out of trouble by obeying the law, and paid all the taxes the government said I OWED TO THEM! I can not even tell you how freaking upset I am watching the whole economy crumble because of rampant, unchecked greed. Not a few dollars here and there.....millions and then billions of dollars. I feel so hurt and abused. At 53 yrs old I suddenly learn that I have paid 10,000 more in taxes than the wealthest American......and these SOB's are stealing with both hands unchecked, and above the law? LET THE JAILTIME BEGIN....BOTTOM TO THE TOP.”

“Of course, Sixto should be sent to prison for his embezzlement.
However, to nail Bush Jr for it we would have to have proof that Bush directed him to embezzle, which is not only highly unlikely (Sixto kept the money for himself and it wasn't much money to start with) but would be counterproductive to getting Bush Jr on the big crimes he has committed.
Dems--who don't want to prosecute Bush and certainly not convict him--will do anything to weasel out of holding Bush Jr accountable. If they get him on something puny like low-level embezzlement, or any of the other minor things Bush Jr really did do, that will be the end of prosecution of Bush Jr.”

What James Carville Really Said On 9/11 About Wanting Bush To Fail
Commented Mar 12, 2009 at 13:38:05 in Politics
“James Carville is an American first and "Yellow Dog Democrat" soon after! He does not apologize for either of those facts, nor should he. When he learned that his country had been attacked he was as usual right on point with protecting the nation and stood directly behind the Commander in Chief. Carville has a very long, very partiisan political history - he is also the last person the GOP should want to mess with right now....well maybe Carville and Rahm are tied in last place. This, just like the other failed GOP stratagies will fizzle and burn them in the end. They are trying to cull Carville out from the herd so they can weaken Obama and his administration....that will not happen. Carville is known for bringing a cannon to a gun fight. I'm betting he is still armed and dangerous. Watch out GOP...Yellow Dog on the loose!”

“Part 2
Blacks have indeed come to hate many things about white people who are guilty of practicing racism and benefitting from white privilege. We don't care about making white people feel guilty- we are working on purging our own souls from the darkness we have been forced to endure almost silently. Black America is Traumatized, and talking about our abuser and the abuse is a big step toward being healed. My soul darkens a little every time a young black kid is shot in the back by a police officer . Is this something I should just forget about until it is my son who is shot for no good reason? I am forced to remind my son and my grandson that they are black and must be careful of the police at all times. I must continue to tell the stories of black people in a racist America where too many White people don't want to be reminded of their past or current deeds against people of color.......it's not important let's just move on. Better to create and enforce the myth that black people don't love or value their children the same way that white people do.
Peter the lies have to end. The bloodshed and discrimination has to stop. And colored people every where have to be able to grieve out loud - and heal from the wounds inflicted by a very sick institution and policy of race hatred. Try seeing it as Post Traumatic Generational Slavery”

Peter your questions are important questions -and Richs article is necessary simply because of the questions that you and others still have regarding the issues and events surrounding racism in America. You view slavery as an "event" that happened 100 years ago - but slavery existed in America for 400+ plus years and ended 100 years ago. My Grandmother was 90 years old when she died - she was born 10 years after slavery ended. Her parents were slaves. My grandmother was the first generation born free. My mother the second generation. My sister and I the third generation. To all of us this is not an event that happened 100 years ago - we have a face and a name for that horror - memories passed down as a warning to the rest of us about the cruelty of white people who brutalize us because of the color of our skin. You would have called them slaves... My grandmother called them mom and dad. I would have called them my great grand parents.
As much as we want to say goodbye to that nightmare and that history- there are those who never lost the taste for that type of hatred and many are in positions to ACT on those feelings.”

“Caroline Kennedy learned more about politics playing under her fathers desk as a child in the WH than Sarah Palin knows right now. CK interview was indeed terrible, very un-polished and the press has savaged her for days. Is this more of Sarah's spin or does she really not read the newspaper? I doubt that Patterson will appoint Caroline to the Senate but if she is true to her word and runs for the office in 2010 she will be better prepared and more polished in front of the camera. At the rate Sarah is going she will only acheive making herself into a bigger joke.”
