“Don't be too hasty.....­...Preside­nt Obama told us that it would take alot of pressure from America's Citizens for real change to take place in this country. We will have to continue to stick together on this issue and make sure our state reps know that we won't back down. If they want to continue to keep their seat at the table then they should begin to listen to the needs of the people who elect them. Hold these folks accountable state by state...se­at by seat! There is nothing wrong with demanding a reasonable rate.....e­specially when you ARE paying your bills. Hiking someones rate just makes it harder for them to pay. I just got a rate hike notice in the mail and I plan to pay it off and return their card with a polite NO THANK YOU I choose not to be RAPED by your company for the privilige of patronizing your establishment. It is in MY BEST INTEREST to try to get the best VALUE for MY HARD EARNED DOLLAR. I will do business with those who RESPECT my dollar and the SWEAT I used to earn it. If we just sit there and continue to take it on the chin when and where will it stop? Wall Street? I DON'T THINK SO!”

You would think that a civilized nation would welcome the opportunity to make a great nation even better by doing better toward the citizens that pay to keep it afloat. “Foe some time now it has been the policy of MSM to steer clear of acknowledging crazy when they see it. This was particularily true during the last eight years when you not only had to refrain...­but were often called upon and forced to defend crazy in the name of patriotism and 9/11. “Yes, I would agree that David Gregory was a poor choice for MTP.....bu­t in truth NO ONE could ever really replace Tim Russert. Maybe things would have gone better with Brian Williams or even Mike Barnacle. Gregory has all of his talking points down cold but comes off like a deer caught in headlights. “The point for most women is not to turn the clock back on aging so much....it is more to lessen or rid themselves of symptoms caused by going through menopause. The symptoms vary for each woman but some are so severe that daily functioning becomes greatly diminished and sometimes painful. Blacks have indeed come to hate many things about white people who are guilty of practicing racism and benefitting from white privilege. We don't care about making white people feel guilty- we are working on purging our own souls from the darkness we have been forced to endure almost silently. Black America is Traumatized, and talking about our abuser and the abuse is a big step toward being healed. My soul darkens a little every time a young black kid is shot in the back by a police officer . Is this something I should just forget about until it is my son who is shot for no good reason? I am forced to remind my son and my grandson that they are black and must be careful of the police at all times. I must continue to tell the stories of black people in a racist America where too many White people don't want to be reminded of their past or current deeds against people of color.....­..it's not important let's just move on. Better to create and enforce the myth that black people don't love or value their children the same way that white people do.

Peter the lies have to end. The bloodshed and discrimination has to stop. And colored people every where have to be able to grieve out loud - and heal from the wounds inflicted by a very sick institution and policy of race hatred. Try seeing it as Post Traumatic Generational Slavery”

Peter your questions are important questions -and Richs article is necessary simply because of the questions that you and others still have regarding the issues and events surrounding racism in America. You view slavery as an "event" that happened 100 years ago - but slavery existed in America for 400+ plus years and ended 100 years ago. My Grandmother was 90 years old when she died - she was born 10 years after slavery ended. Her parents were slaves. My grandmother was the first generation born free. My mother the second generation. My sister and I the third generation. To all of us this is not an event that happened 100 years ago - we have a face and a name for that horror - memories passed down as a warning to the rest of us about the cruelty of white people who brutalize us because of the color of our skin. You would have called them slaves... My grandmother called them mom and dad. I would have called them my great grand parents.

As much as we want to say goodbye to that nightmare and that history- there are those who never lost the taste for that type of hatred and many are in positions to ACT on those feelings.”

CK interview was indeed terrible, very un-polished and the press has savaged her for days. Is this more of Sarah's spin or does she really not read the newspaper? I doubt that Patterson will appoint Caroline to the Senate but if she is true to her word and runs for the office in 2010 she will be better prepared and more polished in front of the camera. At the rate Sarah is going she will only acheive making herself into a bigger joke.”
