“Doesn't matter what Larry Kudlow thinks, he's become irrelevant like his, " too big to fail, " buddies who try and scare us. Just like the young Dutchman on the flight from Amsterdam to Detroit, we're not going to sit idly by while the big banks try to destroy us and our country.”

“Yeah, we gave our power away by not paying attention and just pure laziness for convenience sake. Time to shape up and take our power back.

Shop locally and support your local independent businesses. Check out your local credit unions or community banks.”

“I agree, start a movement to support our communities and not be victimized by the predatory global corporations. If nothing else, we know we have better safety standards so our children, pets and ourselves won't be poisoned or in danger.

Keeping our communities vibrant and healthy and growing again by supporting local businesses is strategically smart. Our tax dollars stay in our communities to support our schools, police, fire departments, better roads and safe bridges.

It's time to take back and reinvest in our communities. Good way to start the new year, building our communities again which makes our country vital and strong again. We can do this by voting with our feet and money.”

“The " Too Big To Fail Banks," are treasonous, they brought our country to a dangerous economic place that has destroyed American businesses and families, that alone is enough reason for me to put my money into a credit union and my community.

If you don't get it, then sadly, just continue with your compliance with the financial traitors, oh and by the way, money that BOA took from taxpayers was used to invest in China not in Cape Cod.”

“Believe it or not, I'm not stupid. I don't think this plan will make one bit of difference. It has to be done through regulation, and that can't get done with this congress. If I need banking services, I have to get them somewhere. I do get it, sadly, that you won't hurt the financial traitors one bit. It sounds like ranting and raving banking teabaggers, senseless and unproductive. Progressives don't realize that they are just as irrelevant as right wing nuts. This county has to be governed from the center.”

“Ours too are with Wells Fargo, but the fact they are ripping off their customers and are consistently looking for underhanded ways to undermine their customers begs the question of why we would put up with unethical and should be illegal business practices.

We're researching credit unions that have atm's accessibility across the country. I'm willing to put our money and invest in a credit union or community bank that invests in my community and its people. It's a win/win for everyone.

Yeah, it's inconvenient for us too, but at the end of the day we need to think about what they've done to our country and still doing to hard working Americans.”

“We have belonged to a credit union for years, but still have checking and savings in B of A, won't be much longer. Starting the new year with a great new resolution, don't have to play victim with the, " too big to fail banks ."

Investing our money in our local communities is so right!!!!!!!!!!! We have so much power, it's called the CONSUMER! I'll make sure we shop in our local community instead of the big box stores. If most of us did that, small business would start flourishing again and we'd have heathier communities and definitely more interesting.

Good job Arianna in reminding people we still have the last word and the power.”

“Pelosi, Bernie Saunders and other so called progressives have sold us out to the insurance companies. Pelosi is giving up the house bill with the public option, surprise, surprise!

They can go ahead and pat themselves on the back because with no public option to enforce competition on the monopolistic insurance companies to keep premiums down this bill is a sell out just like the taxpayer money wastefully given to the " too big to fail banks."

Clean 'em all out, both sides of the aisle, they're all there to enrich themselves and their corporate side kicks. It's one big revolving door. The system is broken.

Maybe we should just kick out the middle person and go to direct voting by the people, we have the electronic means, hell, we go to the moon and travel in space”

“Holy Crap.

"Every fantasy the Boomers have lived by--an endlessly expanding economy and money, an endlessly dominant America, staying fit and hot forever with the gym and cosmetic surgery, the good life for their kids as far as the eye can see..."

I'm 57. I love my life, which has had many, many ups and downs, like most of the people I know. I 'm looking forward to my 60's with optimism and zest. The dreams
and hopes I've had include exactly none of the above. I don't equate "staying fit" with
"being hot." And unnless by "the good life for their kids" you mean, health, elligence, joy, humor and compassion.

My fantasies have been, for decades, a world without war, hunger, poverty, injustice,
racism, sexism, youthism, ageism, disease, misinformation, lack of educational opportunities, homelessness, violence, assassinations, arrogant nation-building, gangs, dependency on the automobile, disregard for the environment, junk food, plastic surgery or breast implants for anything other than medical cases, mindless entertainment , games and gizmos, rude, crude people, porn, hucksters, scam artists, quacks, billionaires, houses built to impress rather than to be homes, corporate or any kind of greed, cruelty to animals, children, the elderly, the sick, and bias towards and lack of adequate assistance for people with addictions, physical or mental challenges, and the humorless. and joyless.

I'm dreaming on.”

Demonizing Dean Won't Absolve This Health Care Sham

Commented Dec 23, 2009 at 14:07:07 in Politics

“Dean is 100% right about this corrupt bill. It's a sell out to the immoral insurance companies just like our taxpayer money went to the, " Too Big To Fail Banks."

Mandating our money to the insurance companies when they can raise our premiums to levels we can't afford is worse than nothing.

I have more respect for Dean than the rest in DC that whore for the insurance companies and let the American people take the hit. Working against the American people to enrich yourself is wrong and treasonous.

Kill this Frankstein Bill.”

The Gift America Needs Most: Manufacturing

Commented Dec 23, 2009 at 00:21:27 in Business

“Manufacturing jobs exported to communist China and third world countries with absolutely no environmental laws has caused pollution to increase exponentially and irrepairable damage to the earth. How about those costs to all of us. Polluted air travels far and wide.

What a joke, the meeting in Copenhagen and China demanding concessions. They have our jobs with no enforcement of any environmental regulations to keep the most insidious and dangerous businesses from having to be accountable.

All these multinational companies have abdicated their moral responsibility to protect the planet from global warming. They have shipped jobs from a democratic country that understood the value of clean air and water to a communist country with no regard to a clean air and healthy environment.

Is there any wonder, by paying slave wages in toxic and dangerous working conditions in communist China it allows exorbitant and immoral bonuses for ceo's and executives of these eithically challenged global corporations.

These multi-national companies operate the same as the plantation owners did in the deep south in our sordid historical past. Now, they use the argument of unions being the reason all our jobs were shipped to a communist China and third world countries, must be inhaling all that Chinese air, it has lead in it.”
