“This has been a long time coming, we've been under the illusion we were represented and had a fighting chance for progressive change with the current bastardized capitalistic system. Our materialism buffered this illusion until our capitalistic house of cards all fell down.

During vietnam, we felt despair and hopelessness, watching friends and family die for politician's corrupt cry for war. We, as a nation eventually, reached our Rosa Park's moment and said, NO MORE! I feel we're really close to that moment again, we're not only geographicallyin two wars but in an economic war at home with wall street and monopolistic corporate America against its citizens. When you have nothing to lose, no jobs, unaffordable healhcare, and no country you say, ENOUGH! 2010 will be a pivotal time where the people will begin to rise up. Students are starting to rebel against tuitions increases, it's a beginning.

Mothers have a primal urge to protect their young and their families. We'll be damned if they take our families down. Corporate America seems to have forgotten moms have so much buying power, let them keep it up and we'll start boycotting products like you won't believe. This country runs on consumerism, a ripple effect from moms across America would bring some of these guys to their knees. As I said, we're just getting started and the internet is a powerful tool. 2010 will be a year where we heed the call of Rosa Parks, NO MORE! ENOUGH!”

It begs the question of why we're fighting any wars when your own democracy is broken at home.”

“Wondeful, wonderful piece. I have a sister-in-law who is college educated and a republican who told me this summer why should I pay for someone else's healthcare who might not work. I asked her, does that include the people who have lost their jobs due to being shipped overseas or because of the economic meltdown. Or how about people who have terminally ill diseases and can't work. She is so worried someone might get something they're not entitled to and she includes healthcare in her judgment whether they're worthy or not.

I tried to tell her, we're all better off if our nation's people are taken care of. That she's not as likely to get sick from someone who can't afford healthcare. If someone pollutes the drinking water in a town we all suffer. She and others have this mentaility, she's just responsible for herself and no one else. Yes, we're responsible for ourselves but in life as we have discovered we're connected like it or not. Our food, water and air that provides the basics for survival is a system of interdependence and has to be watched over and taken care of and SO DO WE!

As you said, other nations have figured this out, our young nation has trouble with growing up and doing the responsible and mature and humane thing and provide universal heathcare for its people. Aren't we tired of being self-absorbed teenagers.”

Your either working for the benefit of women with cancer to get healthcare or you're working with the very insurance companies fighting against women and their health needs as a lobbyist. “Obama just proved to me he's the consumate politician and he decided for Americans that we should continue to squander lives and resources in a far away hell pit that's been that way for centuries and will continue. Pretensions that our military and more money will change the people and geography in Pakistan and Afghanistan is ludricrous and insane.

Pakistan has been sucking us dry with billions of dollars to play the charade they work in the US interests. Remember Dr Khan and his dangerous security threat selling nuclear technology and yet it was allowed to happen with no consquences.

More troops sent on this " Wizard of OZ " venture is the unraveling of our economic stability and credibilty at home. We have real security issues in this country, our infrasture in our justice system is falling apart and our communities RIGHT HERE have become war zones. it's spreading with guns and early release of prisoners due to economics. Forget Irag and Afghanistan, we have real problems and security issues at home.

The most disturbing part ,is, Obama said the time table is 18 months, REALLY. We have never left any country we've been in war with. Look at Germany, we still have 60,000 troops there! Generals aren't the best leaders to wean their country off of war!”

LBJ knew he was in an untenable situation, but went against what was right and committed more Americans to an immoral war. Politics be damned, it's about doing what is right and that's bringing our troops home. The minute a draft were to be instated ,you and I know, the war in Iraq and Afghanistan would be over! That's what's so immoral about the justifications for this call to put thousands of lives at risk and $30 billion more wasted dollars while we go into more debt to China to pay for it.

Our children deserve a better form of democracy not the military complex deciding for the majority of the American public.

Yes, he will be a one term president with his decision to employ 30,000 more people to war in a corrupt country. There is no end game but a disaster for our country with this immoral decision.”
