“I don't blame Pres. Obama one bit...It is the soryy @ssed Congress. Dems have both houses and we still can't get anything done. It is beyond me. 53% of the voters voted for change so If Pres Obama promised them Public option, whats the problem? The fact that there are only 60 Democrats (of which 6 are not really) would mean that the repubs, NOT the Democrats are in power. All they need is ONE antagonistic senator to call "filibuster!" and the Dems are faced with corraling 60 votes which, when it comes down to voting for the American people, they don't have.
The solution to make any change in our government is to vote in at least 9 more Democratic senators and oust those that have proven to be nothing more than corporate-bought shills.
FDR had 68 Dems supporting him, and he got SS through, with massive repub support. Obama has only, what, 53 IF that, with ZERO repub support.”

“I do; completely. His total lack of support for single payer or a vigorous public option was VERY CLEAR for all to see. In fact, it was so obvious that I was forced to conclude that he was actively working AGAINST the public option.
