Best Core Exercises For Your Body

“I'll disagree with that. When you clean your diet, you lose fat, allowing you to look leaner. Diet is the most important part! It's also so much more beneficial to work on more than 1 body part at once. It's called functional training for a reason - because in real life we use more than 1 muscle at once!! (It's also more time efficient!)”

OBoile on May 3, 2014 at 19:18:55

“I agree with everything you say (although "functional training" is little more than a buzzword). I'm just not sure how it, in any way, relates to what I posted let alone contradicts what I posted.”

“There is nothing humane about murder. There is nothing humane with the distance these animals are driven crammed into trucks to get to the same slaughter house that is used by factory farms.
There is no such thing as humane meat.”

“We are also the only species that needs to cook meat to consume it. We don't have canine teeth that enable us to bite right into the animal. It goes through torture in a factory before it gets to us. AND THEN we have to cook it. You've seen the canines on a dog, cat, etc... right? Please don't tell me you think ours look like that!”

Omega-3 Benefits: How To Get More Fatty Acids In Your Diet

Commented Feb 15, 2014 at 15:28:51 in Canada Living

“There is no need to be consuming animal flesh or cow secretions to get Omega's. Where do you think they fish get the Omega's from? From Algae of course! And if I remember from middle school science, you know, where we learned about food chains, energy is lost through the food chain. Why would we take it from the animal, when we can consume it directly from the plant source?
Also Hemp hearts and Chia are other great sources of Omegas.”

khan999 on Feb 15, 2014 at 17:03:54

“There are two types of omega-3 fatty acids. ALA, which comes from ant source and EPA and DHA. ALA can be converted into DHA and EPA but our bodies aren't as efficient as fish in converting omega-3 fats obtained from plants source (ALA) to EPA and DHA. The conversion rate is very low so we do need to eat fish or fish oil in moderation to obtain optimum levels of DHA and EPA as they are essential. Both types of fatty acids have different health benefits”

“Unfortunately it's a problem with cow's milk. Their udders are sucked dry, causing infection, for which they feed medications to the cows. This will of course cause problems for humans (who shouldn't really be drinking milk meant for baby cows) - between the pus and the medications (and hormones to the cows) it's no wonder why people are getting sick! Not to mention humans aren't meant to drink it, so lactose intolerance will also make you sick!”

“No, it's just stressed out flesh. (And you can't tell me that even if it lives a "happy" life, that these animals don't know what's coming on that big truck the get transported miles on to that slaughter house?)”

Wildrosebeef on Nov 9, 2013 at 21:41:23

“Actually it can be told, yes. Animals don't think like we humans do, thus are incapable of such thoughts, i.e., fear of what the future will hold for them. Animals only live in the now, and are dependent on the environment or current situation to determine their reaction.

You can't get "stressed out meat," because it is almost nonexistent. If an animal is stressed prior to slaughter it can be easily seen the quality of the meat. Like with cattle, if you get a stressed out steer, that steer will have dark meat, not the kind of meat that consumers want to see and buy from the grocery store or from a local producer.”

FaunaAndFlora on Nov 9, 2013 at 23:54:30

“Guess what? The cholesterol scare is so yesterday. Most of the experts are now realizing it was much ado about nothing (although there are a few hold-outs). The new culprit is sugar, including the conversion of carbs to sugar. In other words, it's not the chicken. It's the breading. It's not the rib-eye. It's the donuts. It's not the burger. It's the bun, the fries and the glass of carbonated sugar water. ;-)”

Daycares will not accept toddlers or infants who are not immunized either. Not only is it a public health risk, but a HUGE liability consideration. Their insurance premiums would be astronomical...IF....they could even find coverage.”

Turk Krut on Jan 15, 2013 at 08:45:06

“One of the great follies of human intellect is how we see everything as black and white. It is either meat, or no meat, when it should be less meat. What is no good about eating meat? Meat is one of the greatest pleasures on this earth for us humans to enjoy. I fully agree that we should consume less meat overall, but this supecilious nonsense that meat is no good is bound to only ever spread to a minority of the world's population. I have faith in my fellow man that he will not let his head be corrupted by this vegetarian/vegan supremacist cult.”
