A Tale of Two Obamas

“You will be proven to be wrong...our kids' kids will read the truth about the past 8 and the coming 8 years, if we can survive it like our parents and grandparents did. It took YEARS to overcome the Great Depression, how easy it is to type and whine and complain.”

“Yeah, right.....(she says with sarcasm), like Bush picked his...and look at the mess he created for 8 long, long, long years. We may take 8 more to just get back to neutral. We stand a much better chance this time around; at least Obama doesn't have crooks as advisers and as a vice-president. They should all be in JAIL.”

“Crooks as advisors - well, that has yet to be shown. I'm willing to wait and see. Maybe they aren't crooks like the last administration (who should indeed be in prison), but maybe they're just too "Democrat" to get anything done.
Without moving fast, and soon, it won't matter what he is. He allowed a summer to go by while Repblicans soundly drubbed him and all Democrats and what was the general Democratic response? To sit there and take it like the meek and spinless creatures they are. 2010 will end any domination the Democrats hope to retain. This summer they'll be ripped to pieces by 'baggers/birthers/hallers.
And I'm not saying any of that with sarcasm.”

“You are really serious?? No one, and I mean no one with a brain, expected this man to be able to do half of what he has attempted, not even in an "effin year". It will take many, many years to dig out of the dump that was created long before he took his oath on Jan. 20th 2009. So, who do you propose here; I'm guessing there are a lot, and I mean a LOT, of anti-Americans on this blog that need to get a life and go away and whine somewhere else, cause we got some work to do, and one man cannot do it alone, especially in a year. Get a grip, and look at history, the big depression, look how long it took, over 8 years.”

“He's displayed failure to lead in a time of need.
You can save your insults.
I'll save my vote for someone else (not a Republican, btw, but not for any Democrats ever again unless something changes soon.)”

“You know what? This is it...last comment, why don't YOU try doing that job. Huh? How would you like to see your dreams, diluted, criticized because it is not a perfect world. We should all be turning our focus to the dream, the beautiful, wonderful dream that we all have pictured for years, of future peace, the globe returning to its natural, green, state; people, united, in some kind of way that , yes, may be a dream, but is spoken from a good place, not from a cynical place. No one can do all that alone.....but maybe, just maybe, if the ones that believe, that pray, that are true to our country and all that it stands for, can do it TOGETHER. But, I suppose the cynics on here rule today. go ahead, and read the history books when you are 90 years old and see what really is happening now. I weep for all of us.”

“What is wrong here??? Last year, we all had hopes and they are still alive; you belong somewhere else, turncoat, along with the others. What, you would rather have the alternative up there, making the very same decisions? Shame on all of you that are so critical, and, so fast, yes, it started after he was in office after only a month; our dreams are still real. Maybe he has to temper them, like we all do, when we are looking at our kids' lives in war, poor people without anything, and naysayers like you, get out of here and find another blog. p.s. don't you even watch the news? McCain himself endorses this brilliant man's decisions.”

“Lord help you, if you were really on board, so to speak, and voted for Obama, and now speak of Sarah Palin as an alternative that is somehow better than an intelligent, driven, out-spoken from the heart (and i mean that), desiring help for the down-trodden, the jobless, the ones without health care; planning our next military moves, with our sons and daughters' lives in his hands; how can you even show your face like this? An embarrassment to our country.”

“Yes, like what you said here, and ending with the fact that he is indeed threatened all the time. Recently, I heard the fact that his life has been threatened some 400 times more than Pres. John F. Kennedy. He is our future; he is doing a lot, fast; he, himself, said in his last address, that the date 2010 was the deadline year for making many of the moves he took on early! I agree: I believe in him, we all need to support him, our country, our soldiers, our decisions as a nation, please, for God's sake, support health care reform, and let's do it while we can all live to witness history, again, in the making. Peace.”

“Like this article a lot; you have certainly followed this man's history, and I totally wish him well. The Democratic party is very much alive and kicking, and will stand strong and remain strong through 2012, too.”

“Fascinating tactic. Find an outstanding candidate and run them in a district with diametrically opposed political views.
I am pleased the Democrats are finding candidates of character finally; a significant difference to the hacks currently in Congress that are an international embarrassment.”

“Apparently neither this bill, nor any other legislation that reins in the smut-filled high cost of quality healthcare will rid this nation of cancers such as Ron and lerosn.
"NO ONE on here opposes health care reform!
NO ONE."
Really? Hmm. That's not what the insurance industry seems to be saying. And same goes for the fat-cat politicians like Joe Lieberman (representing Connectiut - the insurance company capital of the world - wonder how much is in his pockets?)
Yes, they oppose health care reform. In ANY form. They haul in huge amounts of bucks (hey, it wasn't selling french fries that got Humana that massive headquarters) from charging people ridiculous amounts of money and then denying coverage to AMericans who otherwise DIE without it.
You do disrespect Veronica and her family. You do disrespect other Americans who are suffering and dying needlessly. You ARE a shill for the insurance industry. You don't care about the Constitution. You don't care about democracy. You don't care about freedom. Let's face it, you don't care about much, do you?
Be gone with you.”

And for the nay-sayers, naa, let them go on and say whatever, it is about education and reading and our future! Lots of us are in book clubs, go for it, Mrs. Obama!”
