“Back in "the old days" the 1950's before we new about all the x-rays and stuff spewed out by the cathode ray tubes, we kids used to sit about a foot from the TV. As a matter of fact, there was a TV show that encouraged it, I used to participate in "Winky Dink" a kids show where you stuck a piece of green see through plastic right on the tube and then drew in stairs, bridges and stuff like that to help "Winky" escape or capture the bad guys. It was fun, but to this day I wonder if it contributed to my macular degeneration.”

Number two, I like Tiger, I don't golf, but I watch the matches when he plays. He bring a whole new level to a game that normally I find very boring. As for his personal life, I don't care. His behavior has not been ruled illegal, immoral perhaps, but that is between him and his family. If I were polled about Tiger, he would still have my support.”

“I'm no fan of Berlusconi, I see him pretty close to being a dictator, that said, the rise of violence in politics can lead to only major danger for society. We are seeing the same things happening here in the states. Elected officials showing no decorum (Wilsons "you lie" to the Prez), guns proudly shown at political rally's and we cannot forget the rudeness of the participants at the "town hall's" last summer. All of this lends itself to an anger on both sides that becomes unmanageable and truly could bring down our civilized society. It's not a good thing for anyone and especially for a democracy!”

“It has become commercialized sadly but, no, it's not really about the money for Christians. I'm not saying we don't exchange presents which of course I love receiving but to me it's more about giving and that is what I am teaching my children. It's about giving to others and the joy that it brings. My 6 year old has been working for the past 2 weeks to make presents for everyone in our family because as she put it "Presents you make are much more special because they are made with love." To me THAT is what Christmas is about. The presents will be enjoyed for a while but most will soon be forgotten whereas the true meaning will not.
I used to get very upset by people who did not believe in Christ but still celebrated "Christmas" but I've let that go (for the most part). If they want to celebrate that feeling for one day okay; maybe it will carry over into the rest of the year. :-D”
