“Green Bean - Corn Casserole for Company
2 - 16 oz. cans French cut green beans
1 - 17 oz. can white kernel corn
1 - 5 oz, can water chestnuts (sliced). I halve them.
1 - 8 oz. sour cream
1 - can cream of celery soup
3 - tbs. mayo ( enough to hold everything together)
1/3 Cup chopped white onion ( I use more)
1 1/2 Cup American cheese shredded
1 stick of butter (separated) (Use Sueeze Parkay)
1 1/2 stack Town House crushed crackers (do not substitute)
Drain and layer first 3 ingredients. Dot with some butter. Mix next 5 ingredients and pour over vegetables. Top with cracker crumbs and pour remaining melted butter over the top. Microwave15 - 20 minutes. Done when bubbly. DELICIOUS!!!!!”
