“When Sarah says Barack Obama was not born in the United States her admirers will believe her and think she is adding some legitimacy to their own accusations about the President. She is such a light weight politician. She really does not realize or care that a lot of those same people say and believe that Sarah can see Russia from her backyard (may be when Putin is sunbathing in the nude). If we condemn Sarah for such utterances of gibberish these folks will only get more agitated and make more noise. A big bunch of fools can sometimes be an ominous force.”

“Rep. Joe Wilson rudely interrupted President Obama during his address to the joint session of the congress shouting “You lie”. Since then the responses from the public and our politicians have been varied. Some expressed an opinion that he is just a jerk and not at all a racist. Others said that he is basically a rabid racist and acted like a jerk due to his intense hatred of our first black President. Some said that he is both a racist and a jerk. Another group of people have condoned and commended him on his outburst.
However, we cannot disregard the fact that Joe Wilson’s rude outburst and subsequent ranting, was inappropriate. If Joe Wilson was truly concerned that the healthcare reform as presented by our President may enable the illegal aliens to reap the benefits, he would have or should have called the White House to discuss the issues either before or after the speech. After all President Obama has repeatedly said that he would be happy to hear all criticisms and suggestions from any body. Or he would/ should have presented his concerns to the various committee members formulating the final Bill. Nobody prevented him from raising these concerns in a civil and appropriate and timely manner. It is obvious that he wanted to disrespect and bring down the highest office of our country more than the redress of his concerns. More than likely, his outburst was due to his resentment of the person holding the office.”

“There has been no rhyme or reason about the direction the stock market indexes have taken in the past and now. This scenario has happened in the past and will happen in the future. In the past, many times during the rise and fall of the market, it never made any sense to anybody, at the time it happened. But the big Guru’s have always succeeded in giving a plausible explanation after the swing. I think most of them were only disingenuous speculation. If these Guru's are that good, why are they not able to predict these events at least most of the time. All this is more true, especially, in the short run.”

“Many religious texts including the Bible say that the world was created by God FOR man. Man was according to the Bible, in turn created in God's image. How presumptuous. Until mankind can revise this thinking, man will ultimately destroy the balance of nature. And because of his greed and sense of entitlement he will be destroying all life forms in this planet. What an irony that the most intellectually evolved creature on this planet brings down all life forms on this planet. Let us, at least now listen to the best environmental scientists and try to turn back the tide.”

“Racism or bias towards people who are different from oneself is like a mosaic. For the most part a person who was taught prejudice from his/her early life will carry the hatred or distrust of the other race, to their graves. In its dangerous form the feelings run so deep that, it almost consumes the individuals with rage and hatred towards the other race. In its mildest form there is a misplaced sense of compassion along with a sense of superiority. Most racists fall somewhere in between these two extremes. Unfortunately racism is like a fire that can be stoked by a few dangerous individuals who are capable of influencing the others and that is very evident in this situation.
One is naïve to conclude that there are no racial factors involved in this high drama that is being played out in our country at this time.”
