“Just and observation. I know for a fact that there are enough churches in my own community with enough real estate to house every homeless person and family that needs shelter. We have one church that is so large, and takes up so much real estate, that some call it Fort God or Six Flags Over Jesus.
Why is it that every Christian church is not filled to the brim and caring for those that need care?”

We as a nation for 8 years while Bush was in office died a little for every lie and accusation the Republican party made, that was not called out, and that our brave service men died for. The base has not changed. It was stupid then, and it is stupid now. The problem is, the paradigm has shifted, and the mis-information is being seen for exactly what it is. “VictoriaP - I agree. When there is a domestic or harassment or stalker problem, victims are counseled not to get the police involved because A) They won't do anything. B) Will only make the criminal more pissed off and more willing to cause harm. I've seen arguments here that the victims need to arm themselves, but I'll tell ya.. they are usually not suffering from the same twisted mindset and so are not as willing to kill, even protecting themselves. Most often, they probably don't even know they are in danger. It is not fair that victims have to live like hunted animals, watching around every corner. Since Law enforcement is not the answer, then it's going to have to be community action that educates - mostly women, on how to protect themselves from those who were supposed to love them.”

She might have been afraid to set him off, because it's not like he would have been put away. I have known more then one woman who was being harassed but was afraid to do anything because the dude had guns or was a gun nut, or just a nut. And usually you are counseled that law enforcement won't do anything, and you will be in more danger from pissing the rat-B* off. I have read the comments about disarming men and arming women.I agree. Hey Gun nuts, NRA-bots, how about having the nuts to figure out how to protect innocent women from these mindless crimes. How about law enforcement taking domestic violence seriously and taking stalking harassment claims seriously. How about making restraining orders actually work?”

“Having experienced this myself many times in my life, I am happy that the sciences are catching up with the concept. However I disagree with the premise that love is the connector. It is one of them. For me, I have no idea what the connector was or is, because the people involved are not always people I know or care about - so what's the deal with that? Perhaps simply strong emotion is the other for those who naturally have a more conscious connection to this collective. Love is definitely a door but I don't think it is always a prerequisite.
