“I guess but with score tied I don't think they are desperate plus they had over 2 minutes which is plenty of time. This was one of those games where you figure whoever had ball last would win. Romo played great but he has a knack for making the big mistake. ”

bad9iron on Oct 10, 2013 at 10:20:51

“Hey Reason Lives I agree! A few minutes with timeouts is like an eternity in professional football so long as first downs are made. If it's 4th and ten and you can expect an all out blitz the situation automatically gets quite a bit more desperate regardless of who the quarterback is. But you are correct, some quarterbacks are much better under pressure.”

“Yep and with the rules favoring offense these days it's a lot easier to put up big numbers. They call interference if a defender gets within a yard of the receiver. Staubach was way better than Romo.”

“No the score was tied, no desperation required. He had a wide open running back right in front of him. Jesus is this the Romo Fan Club? He made a bad play at end of game, get over it.”

bad9iron on Oct 7, 2013 at 23:31:07

“Hey Reason lives No desperation from your perspective but as I see it they had little time to try to score and win the game and that spells desperation to an offense. And I'm not a Dallas fan by any means so I was happy to see them lose. Just making an honest comment on the outcome.”

“All the experts Sunday night differed, they said it was a terrible play by Romo. Of course he had a good game, that's not the issue. But Manning didn't make the clutch mistake with game on line, Romo did as usual. There was a check down receiver wide open right in front of Romo, he went for the guy who was covered. Needless risk and very foreseable interception.”

“So Arena foottball style with teams going up and down field at ease is the ideal? Who says? I like to see some defense too. How come with baseball scoring is bad, yet with hoops and football no defense is considered good?”

“Ditto! And the response is always "But his numbers are good" and in this case, "he has thrown for more yards than any other Cowboy." But folks, with all this going for him, HE has lost a lot of Cowboy games. A Cowboy fan since the 60's, I am keeping it real.”

“Horse hockey, that was a terrible throw at clutch time, typical Romo, what a bunch of ridiculous excuses. It's hilarios that every time a QB throws a pick there are a bunch of excuse makers.Sure if receiver drops ball and there's a pick that's one thing. Not so here.”

“it's 2000 not 2500 years. I'm talking about historical evidence, whatever "form" it takes is not the issue. There's no historical evidence for Gospels. If you have read them you would see all the contradictions. It was "based on" folklore a century later and was tailored to try to expand on a new religion.”

“Seriously?  No documented history exists from 2000 years ago? Ever heard of the Roman Empire?  The Greeks? Egypt?  Wow. Nice try, there is no evidence for anything in the Gospels occurring, barely any evidence Jesus existed, and many scholars say there is no real evidence he did.  Try reading a little on the topic, start with Michael Martin.  But you were the guy who said based on eyewitness accounts, that's preposterous, no scholar believes that even Christian ones. ”

“People seem to think Gospel's are eyewitness accounts. They are presented that way, falsely. Real history has sources and evidence, that's what footnotes and cites are for, Gospels have nothing.”

1harley1 on Jul 30, 2013 at 16:24:48

“Reason- You now say, "Real history has sources and evidence, that's what footnotes and cites are for, Gospels have nothing."

Before you said, "no one recorded anything at the time, the stories developed after the time he allegedly lived, it's all myth and fable, hardly any evidence he even existed, there are no "eyewitness accounts" lol...

Now you accept sources and footnotes. Why do those make a difference? We are talking 2500 years ago. They did not do things like today. So you dismiss it. Quite a double standard.”
