“Judge did what the law required. Judge told you what happened. Prosecutors were told by senior Justice Department officials what to do to prepare their case properly. The prosecutors did the opposite of what they were told to do and ruined the case. If you want to look for the fix, it isn't with the Judge.”

It has to do with the equity of gay relationships. Americans are militant, to the point where the conceptualize sex as a dom/sub relationship;:a woman is seen as something to be owned & controlled. When the two parties are both of the same gender, conceptions of dominance are challenged, since the very act of being in a relationship where both partners are of the same gender implies that neither one owns the other.

The idea of the stay at home woman trapped in the kitchen, barefoot & pregnant is something homophobes cling to, to the point where any relationship where this does not occur-such as a relationship between two men-is despised.

Perhaps the most radical notions of the 21st Century is that women are not property or babymaking machines-rather just as human as anybody else- that love is based on mutual affection & not on ownership , & that rape is not implicit in sex.

Ours is a revolution of beauty over horror, of love over violence. GLBTs represent more than just the right to love between consenting adults-we also represent the final nail in the coffin of the idea that the only solid basis for love is enslavement.

Perhaps that's what really offends the homophobes. We are truly free in ways they can never be.”
