For many years the FCC rules against inaccurate news reporting were sufficient. Until a Fox lawyer got a favorable ruling from a judge. Then Fox decided to exploit the situation for their own purposes. And large portions of the public have been consistently mislead on many important issues since.”

The Bush administration was heavily involved in pushing their pro-war and torture agenda on TV.
I think the FCC was actually involved in some very treasonous behavior when you consider how badly they have failed in regulating their industry. Propaganda is supposed to be illegal, not openly win elections and start wars. Privatizing cable is proved to be a social disaster when they are also cut free of any responsibility.
The demeaning treatment of blacks and women are also long standing cable issues. The checks and balances were deliberately skewed. It is time to skew them back again. It is time to take back our country.”
