How the WGA Won: A Behind the Scenes Look at the WGA Strike

Commented Feb 12, 2008 at 15:49:33 in Entertainment

“The past won the strike. The already unionized won the strike. The yet to be organized - animators & reality show writers etc. - were thrown under the bus. The past won and the future lost. So it goes.”

“I have friends who are animators and they did not stop working in solidarity during this strike. With the rash of new reality shows, you can assume reality show writers didn't strike either.

When those two camps are willing to stop work in solidarity, then the WGA will have more leverage to fight for them. Not before.”
