“PROOF that Church and State still have each other's back. The search for Evil is as close as a church steeple and a police station or as far as the Vatican and the halls of Congress. Where dirty hands and dirty bombs feed on the innocent.”

“AH! The power of LEGAL crime: permission to cheat, to steal, to imprison others for what you're permitted to do, to start wars but never have to go yourself---Best of all people voted to grant you such power. As Rose Wilder Lane said, "There's been 6000yrs. of it in every language." As for me I await the day when Darwinian Natural Selection gets better at shuffling the genes.”

“You miss understand me. I intended the words "cowardice" and "guilt" to refer to OBAMA and as why he ignores such victims. In no way would I condemn such victims.”

“robert I used the phrase lack of comprehension to show how you did not read the article and instead grabbed the erroneous headline to cackle and giggle at a chance to have a go at PBO.

Cos you missed it:

"a longstanding White House policy that Presidents do not send condolence letters to families of U.S. soldiers who commit suicide."

Also:

"White House spokesman said a review of the policy has begun."”

“For sure it's not because of "weakness". Just as sure it is because of guilt and cowardice. Why else would they call a killed infant "collatral damage?" Even among such people, a conscience can only bear so much.”

relevancematters replied on Nov 25, 2009 at 09:34:05

“Then perhaps 'cowardice' is not the best word choice. We have associated that word with suicide long enough. Easy enough to say when one is mentally stable, but ignorant of the effects of confusion, grief, depression and despair.”

DannyEV replied on Nov 25, 2009 at 09:33:17

“many of the personnel who have killed themselves did so because of the terrible guilt the felt for things they were forced to do in such out-of-control circumstances; i.e., two bogus wars for which there was no understanding, no planning--no real mission except to steal the oil destroy things that American contractors could rebuild under no-bid contracts--you know--Cheney's buds.

Few episodes in our history are as disgraceful as that one.”

Walpin was doing a little too good a job a rooting out corruption. A big Dem donor, Solomont, ordered that Walpin be fired.

Obama fired Walpin despite a 60 notice period required by Congress. Obama's team then scrambled to create a valid reason for the firing, conducting meetings after the fact to come up with a "consensus." (I am really starting to dislike the word "consensus", along with "national conversation" and "speak truth to power").

A horrible, Richard Nixon-like scandal. Good luck finding out about it. Democrats don't have scandals. They have "teaching moments."”

Socialism could not live without it, and Capitalism qua Capitalism would never let it live! “There is a problem here of pre-eminent magnitude, and it's NOT one of populist movements, or who has his back, or any political issues, or of his "demoralized" emotional state. It is an INFALLIBLE MORAL imperative--The issue of life and death, and most of all the killing of INNOCENT men, women, and children by American bullets and bombs in Iraq and Afghanastan! (And get this straight: They are NOT collateral damage--They are human beings.) Cut the bull this he can do all by himself. NO HELP needed--Just follow orders!! While the horror and sorrow of what's happened at Fort Hood is understood, it holds no moral equiivalency with the killing of children! Yet, you would never know it by the media and public reaction.”

Anyone foolish enough to say Hiliary Clinton would have been a better President is just delusional. There would have been very little difference.”

They, and sadly, much of the public hold themselves as elites at the top of human evolution. Yet in reality they occupy its bottom. The likes of Agassi, Michael Vick; Tom cruise, Dodd, O'Reilly,Limbaugh, Beck,ad naseum, Cheney, Lieberman, Nixon, Bush, a host of Governors, and last but definitely not least-Pat Robertson to name but a few. As for their groupies and sycophants the best I can offer is pity and derision.”

“Jealous much?

I find it interesting that you find Andre Agassi contemptible. This is a man who, despite his flaws and insecurities that we all possess, pushed himself to maximize his gifts and climb to the very top of his chosen profession. Not just once, but twice.

Not only that, but as his career wound down he realized how fortunate he was and matured into a very generous, compassionate human being.

I'd wager a healthy sum that you've never pushed yourself as hard as Agassi did to maximize whatever talents you were fortunate to be born with. And that's probably the source of your contempt, truth be told.”
