Obama fired Walpin despite a 60 notice period required by Congress. Obama's team then scrambled to create a valid reason for the firing, conducting meetings after the fact to come up with a "consensus." (I am really starting to dislike the word "consensus", along with "national conversation" and "speak truth to power").
