Study Backs Way To Fix Heart Valves Without Open-Heart Surgery

Study Backs Way To Fix Heart Valves Without Open-Heart Surgery

Commented Apr 1, 2014 at 00:04:35 in Healthy Living

“Had a traditional aortic valve replacement (bovine valve, not metal) plus bypass in 2009. Healing from surgery was a slog -- a 12-week physician supervised cardio-rehab course really helped tho. No after-effects except MUCH more energy for life! Bovine valves last around 15 years so by the time I'm ready to replace the replacement, the technology will really have improved. In the meantime, if your physician recommends it, get your valve replaced. It is one of the miracles of modern medicine.”

“Judge Jurden's decision not only calls into question judicial prejudice in favor of non-sentences for the affluent but her values and sanity in regard to the heinous, debased and degenerate crime this man did commit: the digital rape of a toddler. Or is the judge on the take from the duPont family? Perveted "values", insanity (unfit for the most basic judicial performance), graft, or just PPJ (p*ss poor judgment). Take your pick.

Hopefully, Delaware has a process for recalling judges, or periodic elections in which they must be approved by the voters to continue their judicial appointments. Judge Jurden should be on the NO list of everyone who actually believes in "law and order".. She's over. She's burnt toast. She will be nothing but a footnote in the history of bad U.S. judges.”

“Overlooking the fact that you failed to answer my questions about who you are and what your interest is in all this, If the top 5% of wage earners owns 95% of the wealth, then perhaps they should pay 95% of the taxes. And I notice you said "wage earners". Mega rich guys like Perkins and Romney pay much lower rates than the rest of us because the law allows them to re-characterize their wages as capital gains. And I notice you said "wage earners". Is it fair that "wage earners" pay 71% of the federal income tax while corporations pay almost nothing compared to their actual earnings?”

Teathuglicants are burnt toast. I'll start calling them krispy kritters.”

“You have totally missed or ignored who are the hawks who recommend violent means and threats as an intervention for everything they don't like: Palin, McCain, neo-conservatives, the NRA, Sharron Angle, the bozette who ran for U.S. Senate from Nevada ("2nd Amendment remedies"), recently Limabugh. You don't see progressives quoted anywhere as advocating violent means. And you have ignored the incessant demonizing of the "47%" which continues to this day among conservatives even though it probably lost Romney the election. So what the heck is Perkins talking about? Just another case of a conservative looking in the mirror and then projecting the poison in his own mind on others.
As for "corporations are people", I'll agree with you when one gets pregnant.”

Jeramie Shebester on Jan 26, 2014 at 10:11:08

“Wow, you have one example of something that could be loosely interpreted as a call for violence from someone that didn't even win election...is that all? Then you toss in a bunch of other random names with absolutely no examples. Nice move! (please be talking about the targets on a map for Palin, because that's been used by republicans and democrats alike for decades) There has been PLENTY of violent rhetoric from the left over the years as well, just because you choose to ignore or excuse it doesn't mean that it never existed.”

Have you offered a job and had someone turn it down or been unable to hire because people keep turning you down? Do you know anyone who is unemployed that you could help to find a job? No, you just want to rant self-righteously about how you do your share and other's don't -- others who you don't even know. Perhaps the problem isn't them, it's you and your attitude. Who would want to work for or with someone as angry and self-righteous as you are? BTW -- I am a successful small business owner and I support the ACA, as well as a livable living minimum wage for everyone.”

“Why do you teathuglicants NEVER see anything in historical or reality context and NEVER apply any rational equivalency to things and people you are predisposed to hate? 1) It is not unknown for government contractors to over-promise and under-deliver. Why is this seen as a plot of the Obama administration rather than a PRIVATE INDUSTRY performance problem? 2) You must have been under a rock for the last 50 years because governmental incompetence and government contractor incompetence did not just suddenly happen with the Obama administration: A) insufficiently armored U.S. military vehicles used in Afghanistan and Iraq; B) the utter confusion when Medicare was first rolled out and the continuing annoyance when the PRIVATE government contractors could not get the payments correct; and C) the utter confusion over the various Medicare Prescription plans when first rolled out; an d D) $1,000 toilet seats. All that was ultimately corrected. Nobody died (see A)) because healthcare.gov didn't work as advertised initially; the most anybody lost was some time and gained some anxiety. So, what else is new about modern life and technology? Also see Microsoft taking software off the shelves because it was not ready for release and, this weekend, see Amazon's cloud computing service melting down, affecting both shoppers and Fortune 1000 companies alike. Let's have some critical thinking here. Oh, yes -- forgot -- that's a dangerous substitute for obedience to the know-nothing teathuglicants.”

So which is it "08Voter" (and evidently hasn't gotten over the blow to his expectation of entitlement). The number of plans available previously - because insurance was state regulated you can divide the number of plans by 50 and some we're duplicative of each other sold by companies co-owned by the same mega corporation.
