The labor theory of value is quite obviously fallacious, why it gets any attention or support at all is a total mystery to me.

The only thing that determines value is the subjective determination of the person considering purchasing the product. If you spent 50 years making cell phone, that phone is not any more valuable to me than a mass-produced phone that took 5 minutes of labor. The labor input has no direct connection to the subjective determination of value.”
