Commented May 20, 2008 at 11:23:35 in Politics
“Now we're all getting gushy about Hillary. Hillary has had her heart broken for the first time. But at least she knows that she has a heart. She's still a snake ready to strike without warning.wh en you least expect it.. If she were the one about to claim the prize we wouldn't be on this sentimental journey. filtering out the negatives of her campaign, the dirty tricks, the kitchen sink..”
Top 10 Reasons Obama Defeated Clinton for the Democratic Nomination

“Someone empowered Barack Obama is his first year of life, his infancy, in a manner and degree that few are empowered. Beginning with non verbal communication someone re-enforced the notion that he was omnipotent and the greatest. When the time came to be pushed out of the garden he realized
that specialness was a secret shared just by the two of them. Not that the secret wasn't true but no one else had the receivers to capture what had resonated between the two of them. Even before he understood what the words meant the sound of them and her face must has touched off some heavy spastic ectstasy. You can almost hear her saying. "Oh yes you can. Yes you can!"”

“Sebocd- I agree with you. Take a look at Obama's childhood pictures alongside his mother, sister and grandparents. He stands out front and center. They're allowing him to "lead" in the picture,as a young kid. He overshadows them all even at ten years old !”

“Who's afraid of Virginia Wolf?
Chip Collis' plan rewards Mrs.Clinto ns political terrorist behavior. Her right to stay in and her right to be wreckless are incompatable. She has set enthusiasm for a woman president back to pre-suffrage level.
Who's afraid of Hillary Clinton?
Everyone, including the Democrat leadership. She's a woman on the verge.”

Hillary Will Drop Out by June 15
Commented May 07, 2008 at 19:41:03 in Politics
“Hillary should have been thrown out on her ass long ago for breaking party taboos by stating that McCaine was preferable to Senator Obama on at least three occasions. Her smear tactics are revolting tlike the robo-calls to Indiana Catholics claiming the Senator Obama was the champion of partial birth abortions when in fact it was her husband as president who vetoed bans to limit the proceedure and fought tooth and nail to justify it. . Like George W. Bush she has no credibility and like him is afflicted with delusional grandiosity. She is stalling for more time to use the only weapon available to her, character assassinaton .She is a tragic player and a political terrorist. The truth is she didn't even win Indiana. Her tongue is stuck to the freezer. For God's sake will somebody help her.”
abby4ever replied on May 07, 2008 at 19:56:06
“I do think we ought to take the story about her promising to drop out by June 15, with caution---it is play for time and a way to get people off her back. If, indeed, she ever said it. If she is going to drop out, now is as good a time as any, no need to wait until the middle of June. An unselfish candidate who was already beaten might stay in that long just to give all the states a chance to have their say, but Hillary has shown terrible selfishness in this race.”

“Also Dr. Positano you left out the most common indication for a D&C, early term abortion. Your not trying to tip-toe around that are you?”
RebeccaW replied on Apr 17, 2008 at 06:17:44
“Seboed, I think you'll find that whilst some women have a D&C for early term abortion, the majority of the ladies on our Ashermans support board have had a D&C for retained placenta or early miscarriage. I have had 3 early miscarriages and my AS stemmed from the first D&C.
Abortion happens - and for many women in very traumatic circumstances. However, I think bringing up politically motivated issues following a very positive article on a syndrome that many women are unaware of is unnecessary.
A big thank you to Dr Positano for brining this to the attention of the readers. I would urge all women to read up on this condition in an attempt to reduce the numbers of women suffering potentially infertility like me.”

“Yes! It's too bad that things have gone so supremely wrong for Hillary, but thank goodness we have a viable, let's just say it, preferable candidate in Obama. It has been disheartening to see Hillary try to devalue the qualities in Obama that she should, by everything she has ever said about herself, admire... But hang in there and say what you want, Hillary... Just please, everyone, don't blame her failings on her gender. This type of cynicism knows no gender, it is present in too many modern politicians.

In spite of his support, Hillary trounced Obama by 15% point is Mass and perhaps for his campagning hard In California, Hillary crushed Obama by 10% points there. Watch the results today - Hillary will win by double digits in Ohio and by more than 5 points in Texas. And the popular vote difference will be more than Obama's winning difference in 10 states I can count combined!!!”

She's our friend, fellow traveler. She's the Nabakov of bloggers; the Sibelius of cyberspace; she's a unique voice in a banal choir. Like Obama, she represents something fine and uncommon: humanity.
Like most new things, it takes time and effort to achieve an understanding. But, having made that effort myself, I can only recommend that you give it another go. We can "raise ourselves up". Yes, we can.

Barack Obama And Why It Matters That He Plagiarized A Speech (At Least One That We Know Of)
Commented Feb 20, 2008 at 10:14:18 in Politics
“What is Sylvia Welsh's take on the well known incident in Nepal where First Lady Hillary Clinton met the late Sir Edmund Hillary and told him that her mother so admired the man who climbed to the summit of Mount Everest, that she named her new born daughter, Hillary? So pleased was Hillary with the polite amusement evoked by her cleaver story. she repeated the confabulation several more times while touring Nepal. Sometime later someone brought to Hillary's attention the fact that she was born in 1947 and Sir Edmond did not conquer Mt. Everest until 1953. Caught in the fib, Hillary's spokeswomen, Jennifer Hanley dismissed any moral significance to the fairy tale with this statement: "It was a sweet family story her mother shared to inspire greatness in her daughter, to great results I might add."
Yes Ms. Hanley, and little Hillary's been clawing her way to the top ever since.”

“Clinton is acting like a spoiled child. She is avoiding REAL issues by stooping to trivia and as you well know, she can't help herself. Like Bu$h, she no longer knows what the truth is.
She has had 35 years of experience. NOT! She will be able to "Lead" on day one NOT! She can't even lead her own troops whom she has been gathering for over a year. This comes from the self-annointment of which she is guilty and which she has come to bellieve.
The sad thing is that nobody else sees her presidency as inevitable.”

Interviewing the Dalai Lama: He Had Me At Hello

“What a Christ-like man, this monk. Thank you for sharing. I loved the account of the reporter who asked His Holiness if he had any message or statement He wanted to send to the leaders of the Republic of China. The Dali Lama focused on the reported with a playful smile, brushed the reporter's cheek with his hand and said "You don't represent the Chinese government!" How concrete and child-like and perfect a responce. It reminded me of Peter Sellers in Being There"”
