No Difference Between President Obama and Candidate Obama

Commented Nov 04, 2009 at 11:12:52 in Politics

“I think the 'new politics' has always been...we just weren't offered a good view of the creepy people we elected (in good FAITH) until now, via the Internet...There are a handful of brave men and women in Congress who live to serve another honorable and integrous day - the rest of them are breast fed by their mother 'Corporate America'; they are the Grendel's who rape our nation 24/7.”

“"Simply feeding Fox a slice of raw denunciation was like dumping gasoline into a fire. It did nothing but furnish the network with a real-world validation of its long-running conspiracy theories--and a nice bump in its ratings." The simplification of the "re-tout" is exactly the way to go for the White House, how else to watch more closely - an implosion? Ratings are all hyped anyway - based on payoffs...Showcasing a liar and a thief is far more meaningful when they have the freedom of more rope with which to hang themselves...and they are doing very nicely...Before this, most of the Dems and Independents weren't paying much attention, now everyone sees how wicked Faux Paux Noose is...

This Week In Magazines: Obama The "Self-Entangling Giant"

Commented Sep 27, 2009 at 22:21:34 in Media

“President Obama has been in office 9 months - he is making enormous strides in recovering the greatest economic and world disaster this civilization has ever been in -- can we get a grip? Is this writer so insanely jealous he cannot see the threat we are living in from the Bush era? Talk about "Forest for the Trees" -- why is this insane attack on Obama continuing - what thrill is HP getting to continue this personal annhilation of our President? Who is running this outfit, Limbaugh? the GOP? Wilson? Hannity?

I thought the bit about Krugman wishing Obama was FDR was really a pitch from hell -- does anyone actually KNOW what FDR refused to acknowledge in our country? how about Jim Crow, Southern Lynching, no civil rights for the blacks, continued garbage discrimination for Jews, how long shall we make this list? His wife, Eleanor begging him to take care of poverty, and all the above -- and he refused!!

If you cannot stand having a brilliant President FOR ONCE - handle it and get out of the way!”

“Great questions serendipity .... everyone is suspect these days. (And not just because of political rhetoric.)”

DonCosenza replied on Sep 27, 2009 at 22:36:58

“FDR was also very concerned about deficits and hated deficit spending. Krugman himself says that FDR was very far from following the Keynesian model of spending oneself out of the depression. If anything, Obama got closer to Keynes with his stimulus bill.

I suspect Krugman (by most accounts, a brilliant economist, but not a historian) would have been wishing that the real FDR would have been more like the FDR that Krugman envisions.”

“I think we Americans are being forced to care because everything the Rethugs have had a hand in -- has ruined our nation; the wake up call was the recent Crash on Wall street -- when we all lost our jobs, our savings, our homes and many of us are now on the streets - our children are street kids for the first time -- it is unthinkable! Only these slimy Confederates could do it-paraded by Bush and his Neocons...we stood by while they started two wars - through our planet into turmoil and robbed us of our nation all in 8 years.”

They all stick together to insure the corporations rule the nation and the world, and for this sell-out, they receive millions of dollars into their individual pockets to buy a victory in the voting box.”
