“maybe conservatives would scream to high heaven for help for people that cant afford food, if food stamps couldnt be used for potato chips and pop”

“If food stamps couldn't be used for potato chips and pop, conservatives would complain about the government interfering in personal freedoms. They had fits when Michelle Obama suggested we eat healthier. But to actually mandate it! Even if the money is free, they still wouldn't accept it.”
“sent this to my sons. one has a 5 month old daughter who he cherishes. the oldest is having a girl in october. he seems happy about it even though the pregnancy was unexpected. i have seen my youngest son in action. he is a GREAT dad. am sure the oldest will be too.”
“...Because leftist extremists are better educated than members of right-wing groups, they have the ability to organize more effectively, and once committed to a militant revolution, they are more of a threat. Leftist extremism presents two threats. The first threat is terrorism. Left-wing terrorists have been responsible for bombings, assassinations, robberies, and planned attacks on infrastructure targets. The second threat is their potential support of espionage conducted against the United States by supporting countries such as Cuba.
...Of the 40 terrorist groups listed in the U.S. Department of State's 1998 report, 16 were Islamic or Palestinian extremist groups and 16 were Marxist-Leninist organizations (U.S. Department of State, 1999)..."
What a sharp contrast this report is from the one issued in January by the Obama administration where the threat of left-wing extremism was limited to mere cyber-attacks.

“Not one single left wing terrorist case out of hundreds. Try again Buford.”

“So you can copy and paste the definition but not read and comprehend it?
He specifically said she went before government demanding to be paid for sex, and said it makes her a s/lut. I dont know how more specific you can get. He went on to call her a prostitute and demanded to see her sex videos.
You can ignore reality all you want... and copy and paste definitions... and ignore them too. But you're still wrong.”
“and she didnt exist why. maybe a setup. and he didnt set out to demolish her. he was saying that at any other time if someone wanted to be paid for sex, ie. birth control, they would be considered a slut or prostitute. HE DID NOT CALL HER THAT. he insinuated those names go go hand in hand for anyone”
Captimprobable on Mar 14, 2012 at 15:31:10
“Same difference, "I'm not saying, but if it walks and quacks like a duck...am I right?"
What's the difference in insinuating someones a_slut and saying the word about the person? Nothing, they both arrive at the same conclusion. One just cleverly leaves an out for protection. "I'm not sayin...I'm just sayin."
If you review her testimony that she gave she never mentioned a desperate need for contraception because she was having so much_sex. Rush made something up, took that and ran with it for all it was worth for specific, non-related tie in's for purposes of messaging and agenda. It was deplorable and completely unrepresentative of what SHE was talking about.”
“so why are their ratings higher then cbs, nbc, abc, and msnbc. i consider myself a fiscal conservative w/ democratic ideals of live and let live. so dont put all conservatives in one pot and i wont put all democrats in pot of left wing, bollywood west coast liberals.”
“so it looks like the 1% feel entitled. otherwise they would do away with the tax code and establish a flat tax. so if they are entitled i wont feel bad anymore for taking the s.s. my husband and i get plus his military disability. even the fat cats are out for themselves. when is enough enough, monetarily and amorally”
jaysin09 on Jan 24, 2012 at 11:04:47
“Sorry, but a flat tax would only make things worse, keeping poor people poor and make rich people richer.”
“so where are the 1%. how bout the hollywood ceo that just made over 300 milion? tell u what ill get it started. shes a sister liberals. she needs help. i will donate $10.00 my husband and i are median income, that means 43,000 before taxes. tell me a legitimate place to send it. then all u bleeding heart liberals, i expect u to do the same or SHUT YOUR PIEHOLES!! im a conservative thank you very much, but this is someone i will step up to help.”
“thats nice. ive been here 2 mos. take me back to the corn fields of iowa. too many people in l.a. too many areas of filth. garbage on the streets, old furniture discarded on the streets. no respect by the people of this city for the land or people. and then the liberals here have the gall to tell america to conserve and recycle. midwesterners dont need to be preached to (unless they are on indian reservations) why dont people from california organize local "adopt a street" program and have groups take turns cleaning up the garbage. i love the sun, but not all the people and refuse all over the streets”

“Well then if you don't like it just leave, jeez there are plenty of other folks who would love to live here.
There's all these folks who whine incessantly about California and Los Angeles, if you live here, move away, if you don't then don't come here, jeez it's not rocket science!!!!!!!!!!!!”
entropychic on Jul 25, 2012 at 10:09:20
“ewwwww what's that indian reservation remark about?
put on some walking shoes and take a hike (pun potentially intended) - there are some awesome hilltop views of the city that you can only get from a little hard work and fresh air. and from your downer description, it sounds like someone forgot to point out the ocean on a map?
regardless - get a book about the rich history of this city, check out some of the greatest architecture anywhere and try to enjoy it before heading back to those cornfields.”

“i wont not blame parents, but there is enough room for blame to go around. bad parents, bad teachers, and bad administrations. now parents arent the professionals that should know better. so why dont we start at the top and work are way down. HOME SCHOOL as long as u can”
“I am 63 years old. i have been a school bus driver for 14 yrs. i was also a student for over 14 years. a lot of fixes need done. as with all our social programs in u.s. lets take bullying. this has become a hot button issue in the last few years. guess what it existed when i went to school. and oh my goodness now the education system is finally realizing it and the problems it causes. Get Real. Schools should be for learning. Why not a program where students start the day with reading, writing, and arithmetic. when those classes are out of the way, electives in science, history, etc. then we will worry about sports. instead there is a lot of "fill time" in schools. and a lot of breaks for teacher and a lot of unimportant paperwork for everyone. as for sending police to pick up an unruly 6 year old, it has to do with law suits. our systems in u.s. are in the hands of incompetents and are very broke. home school as long as u can.”
“greta, insightful, but economically do any of you three women know what it takes to hold a job only for the purpose of bettering your financial standing or giving family members a fighting chance in the economy we now live in.”
sobe123 on Apr 12, 2012 at 16:01:25
“The way I see it Ann Romney can't relate to the stresses that most mothers are feeling in today's economy whether they are staying at home or holding a job. The bottom line is that when you do not have any financial worries for a family that is one less difficult situation you will have to deal with. It allows more of your personal attention to other family matters.
Ask the mom that is worried how the bills are going to get paid this month or how she is going to pay for braces and then how challenging it can be to fully look after the emotional needs of their children.”
“i am a conservative who is not fond of rush. i rarely listen tohim. but what i heard in his commentary was a comparison of what a woman would be called if she asked someone to pay for sex. he was comparing it to taxpayers being forced to pay for birth control. crude, yes. but worth all the hype. i for one dont want to pay for health care for everyone. we cant afford it. if family members that are good financially would help their own, maybe we wouldnt have to rely on entitlement programs so much ie. sarah jessica parker”

“It wasn't taxpayers being asked to pay for women's contraceptives. It was asking that insurance plans being offered by institutions and employers include in their prescription drug plan oral contraceptives that are used not just to prevent pregnancy but to also treat endometriosis, PCOS, ovarian cycsts, heavy menstrual flow, hideous painful cramps, acne, hormonal imbalances, and other women's health disorders. Rush got it completely wrong as to how oral contraceptives are used and for what and how often. Women have absolutely no problem paying a co-pay for oral contraceptives. All women ask is that it is offered as part of an employee health plan.”
